Fragment - The Sand-Eater
[ND]I’m watching a tv programme pretty much like something out of Discovery Channel or National Geographic. A narrator was talking about a dog, which was known as the “Sand-Eater”. The movie showed a dog which seemed to be drinking or eating something out of a sandy ground. It seems he was drinking water, but it could also be that he was eating sand. He looks like a simple beagle, but the narrator continued: “The Sand-Eater is known for leaving a strong smell of sand whenever he drinks water.” So it didn’t really eat the sand…[/ND]

I don’t remember it very well, but I recall a dream in which I was holding a mouse, it was a special mouse. I don’t remember, but it could hav ejust been a special individual mouse, ordinary in other ways. I think it could talk. I don’t suppose it really counts, talking animals i mean.
I’m sure I’ve encountered animals thay don’t exist irl, I just can’t think of any.

Well, one could maybe the wolf I saw in two of my LD’s that I told the Animal Clan about. Also, in a ND I saw a rainbow colored cardinal that I found to be very beautiful. I don’t know what it means, though.

I’ve had a similar one. Although a bit more obscene one.

[ND] I was walking home with my family. Suddenly, we spot a couple of seals eating dogcrap.

Mom and dad tells me to wait here. I take a closer look at the field…yup, its dog poop. And a lot of it. The seals are eating it, too.
After a few minutes, mom and dad comes in a car and hands out long-reach pincers for us. (probably for feeding the seals)[/ND]

A squid that was flying. I wish I had that dream again because that would be a definite time to do a RC but that was a normal dream.

Weird…I have like no animal in my dreams just thought of that. well when I was young I had like creatures from Pokèmon or something like that.

Spider-hamsters. They were actually rather cute, if freaky looking. They were white-furred, had several sets of insect like legs, an unusual head, and were about the size of a regular hamster.

i remember one more from when i was younger.

My dogs head on a man like those egyptian pharo gaurd things. and it was carrying a spear and using me as a target

Here’s another one I once saw.

In last night’s dream, I was in a pure white void with a faint grey grid on the floor. A strange six-legged green creature came up to me and announced “Hey, do you want to do things that you could never do in real life? Visit incredible places? If you do, then you have to become lucid. Yep, you’re in a dream right now! C’mon!” (I’m paraphrasing here because I forgot the exact words, but they were very similar) I became lucid and thanked the creature, and then woke up after about five seconds.

In a normal dream once I saw a griffin, only it was a different combination than eagle/lion. It was like American kestrel/leopard cub. And I like to “imagine” up dragons, and one appeared in my dream once. She’s about fist-size and forest green. (yeah… I’m a bit old for “imaginary friends”, but that’s what happens when you’re bored)

Otherwise, my dreams are shockingly devoid of animals.

I’ve only had one unicorn, a few dragons and a picture of an unigon

I saw a somewhat strange bird last evening. I didn’t recognize it from anywhere so I thought about this topic. I don’t know much about birds but it reminded me of a chicken, which shows my limited bird vocabulary. It was probably bigger than a chicken. It had reddish brown feathers, and the legs looked big, but it was because they were thick with feathers. It wasn’t that remarkable, but out of place.
I just remembered I’ve dreamed of other strange birds, actually pretty close to where this took place. Perhaps I associate that area with birds. Indeed there were magpies on the ground.
Ok, I just remembered the most bizarre dreambird ever. A big bird, turkey like, but came up to, perhaps my solar plexus. It was evil and mean, and it spit scorpions at people. I think it had some other peculiarity but I don’t recall.
