So last night I had this lucid dream and it was by far the longest I’ve ever had it was like 5 minutes long. If you guys want to read the dream you can try to find my dream journal on the forums but I’ll tell you whats happening.
Whenever I was in the dream trying to get commands I was wanting to see and talk to my sub conscious it is one of my lucid goals and I wanted to try it badly. I was in my school library and I shouted "I would like to speak to my Subconscious! " No one around seemed to care and nothing happend… does anyone know If im giving out the commands wrong? I know you can think of the command but I dont know It kinda felt like I had no thought or you know the voice we get when we talk to are selves or think you know. but still I could like know what I wanted to do for some odd reason lol. Could I try like the pill trick like eat a pill and my subconscious will talk to me or do the door trick these never came to mind when I was having that lucid dream the only things I could remember to do is a reality check and that was my first time doing one and it felt so weird. Anyways I would love if someone out there would help me I would kindly appreciate it that lucid dream really motivated it for me to keep going it made me feel like there is more out there and just felt sooo cool Anyways please and thank you.
From my opinion you need more practice and confidence inside the lucid dream. If this was you fifth lucid dream you achieve a lot already. Give yourself a credit for this and you’ll see, if you accept this as a success greater things you will achieve in the future. We all need to start with smaller things and strive to bigger ones…
Also, have a planed out your lucid dream, that means have a goal. Tell yourself what you want to achieve and hold on to that goal until you achieve it. Again, start with smaller and less ambitious goals. They are easier to achieve and you’ll feel better about succeeding then failing…
And don’t give up, you can experience a lot from a single lucid dream, not to mention all lucid dreams that are ahead of you! Good luck!
I probably wont ever give up just because this LD motivated me a ton. I dont know just the reality check itself was amazing lol I already knew I was dreaming well because schools out and I was at school but I did it just to see what It would look and feel like it was probably one of the most amazing feelings I’ve had in a dream so far. Its weird how you can feel a new feeling in a dream. I’ve never felt like it before it felt funny/weird at the same time but just felt way more intense. I also saw this weird rainbow vortex thing in my hand like when I stuck my finger through my hand there was a vortex like you know its kinda hard to explain lol but anyways thanks!
Well, if you want to analyze the wording, you said: “I would like to speak to my Subconscious!”, but did you then speak to it? Maybe try “I would like my Subconscious to speak to me!” You wanted a communication from your Subconscious, but you said that you’d like to speak to it.
Of course, I assume that our Subconscious knows what we mean even if our words are ambiguous. It could be you didn’t wait long enough for a response. It could also be that the area you were in wasn’t the best for communicating with your Subconscious. I have a theory that different dream environments have different rules and limitations.
I’ve had dreams where the Awareness-Behind-The-Dream has spoken to me like a booming voice. I haven’t sought these experiences out, though–they’ve just happened.
You should congratulate yourself for even trying, though. It’s cool, what you’re doing.
I’ve tried this as well, with exactly the same result as Enigma. Congrats on your progress .
I’ve not really thought too much about things it could tell me as yet, interesting thought though. When I tried to talk to my SC I was hoping to tell it to make me reliably realise I’m dreaming.
It’s definitely something I’m going to experiment with, but as my LDs have become more regular, well, less infrequent , I figure I may as well start actually enjoying them rather than failing at an over ambitious goal and having the dream fade or lose lucidity. The way I see it, hopefully by taking care of the dream by engaging the senses or whatever your favourite stabilizing technique is, and hopefully when its nice and vivid then is the best time to start ‘way out’ stuff like talking to SC and visualising stuff.
Yea you have accomplished a lot just keep up the good work. Oh and always have a plan B or something to fall back on if your goal fails. You cant summon your subconcious, then visit someone or practice an abnormal ability such as flying. Try to maximize your time while lucid.
I have the same problems. I can’t do anything when I first start to Lucid dream. but after a while I can make things happen if I keep trying. SO just keep trying and you will make things happen.
