I was wondering, when people are in a coma, do they dream, or just feel like they went to sleep and woke up 20 years later?
Depend on their DR i guess
jokes aside, my guess would be comas are very different from each other, depending on the traumas that caused them, so maybe there’s no single answer.
That IS interesting, actually.
Do they spend 20 years at the dreamworld?
That should be cool.
Not so cool actually, since you dream and when you do RC you can do whatever you want, hasnt the LD got boring after a while and you notice you cant wake up?
To answer the first post I think its possible to dream in coma
I couldn’t imagine a LD getting boring really… Cause you can do anything. You might get bored of one thing and do something else in a LD. But that’s cool for the person who’s in the coma
i think this is really cool though, to be able to live in your dreamworld and never have to worry about anything. eat the finest tasting foods, marry the woman of your dreams, live in a mansion, never get old (except when you wake up 20 years later )
It wouldn’t be cool at all.
I see some of you think it would…you would get sick of it after maybe a day.
Now imagine, 20 years away from reality…20 years in an ever changing weird world.
No way it could be cool, just no way.
I think i heard about someone having lots of OOBE’s for like a few weeks while in coma and then woke up.
I hate to turn this topic even more negative, but I can’t resist.
For anyone who believes in an eternal afterlife, if you think 20 years in a LD would be boring, wait until you get into Heaven/Hell.
you know, being in an LD for 20 years wouldnt be very good, because when and if you wake up from the coma its gonna suck because you will have limitations again, and youre gonna be trying to fly in the real world because youre used to being in a dream.
Also, I did some research on comas, and basically what I found out is this-
when youre in a coma, you cant feel anything, or think, or dream, basically you are dead until you wake up, and when you do it “feels just like you were sleeping, except weirder, more confusing, and longer”, except for those unlucky few who can think, hear, but have no control over their bodies whatsoever-basically they are aware are the time. Also, it has been proven that when you are in a coma and are being talked to, you can hear it, but cant remember. Another really intersting fact I found out is that your sense of hearing is the last sense to go away when you die. You can still hear things even when you are clinically dead.
so basicly people are gonna think that after the coma you were turned into a mentally challenged Schizophreniac?
yeah basically
You know, Waking life talks more of less about this very possibility, that of dreaming during a coma (post-car accident, we all suppose)
man this stuff always makes me think till my head hurts
