I figured that I should NOT post this in the quest suggestions topic, because of how I want it to be explored.
Ok
Dream Home - The Last Safe Place
Okay, in this, you create a dream home to go to in a dream. Personalize it as much as you like, and then use some magic in it. Try and form something (a spell, an artifact) that will begin every dream you have in your dream home. Solidify it, make sure that it can never change unless you consiously change it. Then make sure to do an RC every time you go there. Create as much scenery as possible. Instill land marks. Place recurrent DCs. Make the place your own.
Example: Sky Island
Although not my dream home yet, I plan to make it there and make it a dream home.
Ok… have a mansion…
with an elevator… and when you want to go experience a new, or something you have already tryed, you say ex. flying, and a floor with everything about flying comes up, and you can walk along the hallways and see what you have done, and what you want to do…
I think she was trying to say, “…the spell that makes you start every dream there is super cool! WA-EE!!” - XD
In reference to your initial post of your dream home description…
Now, as for the topic… I don’t know. I would like to believe anything is possible, but with the common inconsistencies and unpredictable nature of dreams - LD, ND or otherwise - it causes me to wonder if flawless solidification of anything in the dreamscape is feasible.
Sounds like a nice exploration, though. I think VILD would be the preferable method in attempting this. Exceptional recall and a moderate LD rate would seem central to this, also… A complete removal of self-doubt would be the “spell” you speak of that would cement the dream home.
Actually, I’ve been exercising keen focus into a “dream home” myself. Details I’ll divulge later. I have not yet dreamt of this particular place, but then again, I haven’t fully purged myself of self-doubt ^^
I too have doubts about how unchanging the place can be. WIth time if you spend time there and consistently change back anything that changes so it is the way you like it, then it’ll stay that way more easily, much like your RL house when it appears in dreams. You simply know it so well.
most of the time when you see a person in your dream they aren’t any diferent physicaly but their cloths might be diferent so maybe if you made a model of this dream house in a 3d watchamacalit program dilly and just try to press every detail into your mind but it might be hard to make every detail stay the same, you could maybe create a dream house. you cant leave it just your imagination so if you do somthing like that and just look at pictures of it before you go to sleep it will help alot.
How about, we make this dream house (“we” as in each construct our own…I’m just speaking generally now ) and cement it as much as possible in our dreamworld. But–instead of trying to solidiy every inch of this “dream house” we let it surprise us with new rooms and halls and stuff–like a magical mansion
So then, for the most part, our dream homes remain the same, but with an infinite supply of surprises so it doesn’t become…boring Let it interact with our moods and stuff
My dream house will have one room that I will extensively define IRL. The room would probably be simple and contain things that would remind me to do RC s.
Simple because then I can use it to VILD.
Containing things to remind me to RC in case I visit the room during a dream. (Thus hopefully doing an RC and becoming lucid)
Once I’ve got the room, I’ll start building the rest of the house. I plan to have a tele-port room that I can use to go to other dreamworlds, like sky-island
This world would be less of a world and more of an in-between place that allows you to control the dream. Also some object that I could use to immediately go to that in-between dreamworld would be great. Then in any dream I become lucid in i can use my object and go there.
I suppose you could use this world like a home for you dreaming self.
Yes I would leave most of the house undecided, Perhaps some general features and styles. But I would liketo have a room that stayes mostly the same every time, that feels like home. I am imagining right now, a room like an old style library room. In a castle. With high bookshelves, a fire place and a cool chair. Oriental carpets, statues and such here and there, windows high up. A big chandelier in the middle of the ceiling high up. I guess it’s not very original. But the door leads to unknown places, Perhaps always has something to do with whatever I’ve been reading, if anything. Seems nice.
