Do you think that dreams can only be interprated on a personal level, or could it be more universal, because alot of people have reocuring dreams such as being naked in a public place, or there teeth falling out, and these usualy have the same meaning. I keep having this reocuring dream, and it is increasing I have it atleast once a month so obviously its trying to tell me something, and I dont know what it is. See if you can… In the dream Im at my old boy scout summer camp, and me, and some friends which are usualy DCs, and not real life friends are trying to get to some caves in the woods. In the dream i feel excited, but when I wake up I have more of a negative emotion. Sadness, and a little fear. I dont how to describe. What do you think it could be. Do you think if I figure out what the dream is trying to say it would stop, or do I have to do something here. Ive had this dream for years, and I just keep having it more. We never do find our way to the caves. I allways wake up. In the dream I have the feeling that they were actualy there in waking life. Ive thought that it was just a childhoods end sorta dream. With the caves representing the mystery of youth, but I dont think that is the answer. The feeling I get from the dream is allmost one of despare, allmost like Im dying or something, and like I said thats when I wake up that I feel that emotion, but it is the oposite in the dream. So its like a great dream while Im dreaming it, and then it is more of a nightmare when I wake up from it… Weird. Yea that it its an emotion of death.
I’m not gonna try to interpret the dream itself, but you could use that reoccurring dream as a trigger to become lucid by simply visualizing yourself in that dream and suddenly remembering “I’m dreaming, I can control this dream”. Once lucid, you might be able to ask the DC’s (which basically are your subconscious) what the dream means.
Well, a cave is often a vaginal symbol, but if that doesn’t seem to apply to you then it probably doesn’t. Just how desperate you are to find it and how disappointed you are when you don’t kind of pointed me to that conclusion, but symbols do vary from person to person.
If it does refere to a vaginal symbole it makes me wonder if it is a kind of urge to want to return to the womb, or the inocents of youth, and the joy of childhood. Maybie thats why I have a diffrent emotion when I wake from the dream then when Im having it. I did refere to it as a “childhood end” sorta dream. Me being at summer camp, and having freedom to explore the woods, and whatnot. Wow that could be it. Or maybie I just need to get laid. LOL
In my opinion, while dreams have meanings, they’re often significantly less profound than we hope them to be.
Usually they could be traced back to an event, or thought, that occurred to the dreamer sometime in the previous day. The problem with dream interpreting is that we’re left guessing because we don’t know the inside of your head.
More than anyone else, you would be able to tell us what the cave meant, but all we can do is broadly analyze them in a way far less accurate than you could.
That’s true, but Kava tends to have an overal negative view on the world as it is right now (no offense meant, just an observation), and I’m sure that a return to childhood innocence would be a blessing for sure.
