Dream pillows are a great way to help you induce dreams, receive messages, and remember dreams. They are really easy to make. I recommend that everyone try it at least once.
Take a pillowcase and cut it in half
Mix together your combination of herbs
Stuff pillowcase with cotton and all of herbs
Tightly secure the open end by sewing or adding a zipper so you can reuse the
pillow case again.
Sleep with the pillow under your head and it should induce vivid dreams. This is
only a small list of herbs that can do this, I recommend researching more if you
want to make one.
Try to use at least 3 herbs. Herbs do have magickal
properties so the more you use, the better.
Dream pillows are not meant to last
for long.
Your thoughts and/or mood while making the pillow are said to have an
effect on the way it works or if it will work at all.
The making of the pillow is to raise energy and let your subconscious know that you want to dream. At night while asleep at some point you will smell the herbs and your mind will remember
what you want. They really do work.
Try to focus hard on what you want to dream while making the pillow.
There’s nothing magical about smell. The herbs have a kind of aroma that finds its way through your nose into your brain, which raises your awareness centre a bit, thus increasing chances to become lucid. Try putting a cup of coffee powder beside your bed, it will have the same or even a better effect (which is not to say that the pillow wont work, of course ).
I see lavender flowers in there… i woulnd’t really recommend that. As far as my experience goes, lavender aids you in getting to sleep quickly. I think what you’d wanna put in the pillow are herbs that heighten your awareness a tiny little bit, increasing the chance of having a LD.
Did you find this nifty technique somewhere? Or did you come up with it yourself? The focussing on what you want to do in your dreams while making the pillow sounds good, you’ll create a good intention with that.
I get where everyone is coming from on this topic. I know that herbs with smell induce those inhibitors that make you realize you’re dreaming and help with lucidity. I also understand that you need to be cautious of their use.
But I understand where Zerospace is coming from too. Preparing something like the dream pillow is good. I talked about Mojo Bags once and I know that herbs are also used in them b/c of their magical components.
Smell is also a very strong sense when it comes to memory association, so if you had a lucid dream while burning a certain incense or sleeping with a certain herb, you might be able to have another LD simply by bringing the smell back and using it by association…so every time you smelled sage for example, you may have another lucid dream that night, like an external dreamsign.
Ill have to give that a try, only thing is does the smell affect the Mrs sleeping next to you. Will she be moaning about the horrible smells or will she enjoy the fact she is haveing more vivid dreams,
mmm its worth a try.
Make Mrs sleeping next to you exhausted enough so shes not bothered by smells and sleeps nicely whole night:)
And btw- Jeff did a little experiment on it and got interesting recall effects with cofee machine turning itself on about half an hour before waking up time.Seems like theres something in cofee smell.
Also some say it works best other way around- to have incense burning for few nights and then to NOT have it one night.
I guess its ok both ways.
Thanx jack, I left that one open a little bit but its a stright answer all the same ( Get her exhausted, ha ha ha. Ill give it a try, dunno what its going to do about my dreaming though.)
When you said about coffee, do u mean stick it on my pillow or stick it in a sock. Mmm I love coffee…
im a bit weary about insence though as it will make the room a little smokey. I might find it too hard to get to sleep in a smokey atmosphere.
I got some indian sage stuff in the kitchen. I might give that a try tonight and then leave it off tommorow night.
Oh right, im glad i asked. Because I would have been sprinkling Coffee beans all over my pillow tonight, I dont think I would have had full approval of the Mrs. I think she would have thought that I have finally lost it and rang the men in white coats. Thanks for assuring me.
I use lavender spray on my bed covers and pillows. It helps me to fall asleep and its allways approved by people sleeping in my bed:)It gives somehow relaxing but erotic/romantic aura.
I’ve made a mugwort and lavender dream pillow cause both of these herbs are often said to induce lucid dreams and/or vividness of dreams. So far no effects…
I think all these herb things have to do with individual perception. Sure a tiny tiny bit of change is associated with these herbs, but if you think they will work, they probably will.
