I find when it comes to dream recall, sometimes recalling a dream I had triggers the recall of another dream I had that I forgot (ie: never recorded; either I didn’t recall on awakening or back when I didn’t keep a DJ), and then another and another, sometimes up to 10 dreams in the space of a few minutes, it snowballs. Has anyone else found this to be the case?
Yes, for me too.
One thing that happens to me is that I always remember only the end of a dream, and then I start going back and back and back until I get everything.
Two weeks ago I wope without remembering anything, then I started watching TV and someone said “a word” and I just remember everything. That repeated over next 4 or 5 days.
This happens to me sometimes. One day I woke up remembering a fragment. Later I thought about it and it became an entire dream! I thought about it again and I remember an entirely new dream
Sometimes these dreams are completely unrelated, my theory is that these dreams are stored in similar locations in memory and therefore they can be linked. A psychology class I took once said that memory is like a warehouse. things are catalogued and cross-referenced and they never go away but some memories become buried, under other ones, you must access those memories first to get to them. So I wonder if I lift up the box containing one dream and under it is two more, or the corner of one I can now pull out and so on. It’s interesting to think about.
