Many sources say that it is sufficient to be able to recall a few dreams per night. But what i want to know is approximately how much of the dreams is good to remember. Should I be able to recall various things from each dream? Or is a scene or two good enough?
It’s good to remember as much as you possible can. The more you remember the better. Think of it like it’s a muscle… the more you use it the stronger and easier it gets!

yes but what exactly constitutes good dream recall? How good should my muscle be before it is “in shape”?
The more details the better. Details like smell, taste, touch and sounds are also important to include. And how much detail was there in vision? If you keep focussing on this you will see details and recall will increase.
edit: oh and one more thing, you can already LD with a weak muscle (remembering 1 dream a night), dont for get that! The fun just increases when your recall becomes better.
Also, as dreams are such a subjective experience, only you can set your standard of what good dream recall is. After a bit of experience you will begin to realise when you recalled a dream well, and when it was just a fading glimpse.
