Reaper here, I has been a dream series is really strange read on I have had 3 normal dreams, all years apart, about the same place, with the same themes, and even the some same charactors. I didnt think to much of it, but now I am starting to wonder. Its really weird, I want to know if any of you have had a similair experiance, but first let me tell you what this dream series was like.
-The first dream was a long time ago, I mean LONG time ago I remember going to some carnival/themepark/fair type place. All I remember from that dream is a giant black spider. I dont remember entering or leaving this place but im certain there is much more of the dream I dont remember.
-Several years later I had the next part of the dream series. I was about 9 years old in this dream, me and my parents were entering the carnival/themepark/fair place I think I’ll name it… Vertigo Park… yeah, in my dream i remember feeling that this place was fimialiar, and that I had been there before, any way we walked in Vertigo Park and met up with some people. Next thing I recall were behind a hotel in Verigo Park my parents are talking with the group we met up with, apprently they were our friends, now one of there kids who was also my friends was with me, i left with him and walked, then we came to this place huge crowds every where lots of people, then in the corner of my eye I saw a giant spider the same spider I saw before, I was filled with dread in the dream somthing about that spider gave me the creeps, then the spider started to smile, and turned blue, it grew long legs and stood up smileing at me, everything else seemed to dissiapear i ran and had an encounter with some carbord monster, and a evil cardboard clown that came to life.
-This dream was about 5 years laterThere was also another visit to vertigo park I cant recall if there was a giant spider in this one i think there may have been a clown, in this one we are leaving the park, and im left behind, and trying to get out its night evey ones gone and im really scared some how i get a scooter. I just know its the same place…
Just writing this has made me remember another dream series with a diffrent fair/themepark place… wow, i had nearlly forgotten.What do you think it means? Any way have any of you had similiar experiences? hmm… maybe ill write about it in my dream journal
I always have those, they’re quite nice if you like the place you’re at in them.
I’ve had many dreams where I’ve awoken from and it feels like I’ve had that same dream before. But Feels good 
I have these a lot. In my DJ I give memorable places a name, just so I can write about them again if I ever go back.
so what exaclty does this mean? Are they just dream worlds? I wounder i if i could go to one of my dream parks, the rides out of this world!! 
Come to think of it, i have had many dreams realated to theme park, type of places. hmm…
I have this happen to me tons of times, its kinda like dream deja vu. Its not that amazing if you think about it.
I think its your subconcious telling you or reminding you of something that you didn’t get the first time around. Maybe, not that convincing.
That might be right. Whenever I wake up from one of the Dejavus. I was like “Didn’t I dream that dream before?” It might be your conscious trying to tell you something in that dream.
Not to make light ( pun not intended) of the terrible dream about the giant spider, but i am glad you posted about this topic ! I too have wondered if this is a “normal” phenomena or not, especially for those of us who can recall dreams.
Yes, I know there are recurring themes, but to keep finding oneself in the same imagined place over and over again??
I keep going back to the same apartment (in the same town, only a very new and modern one, (we live in one built in 1969) and keep wondering how i am going to decorate it, remodel it, furnish it, i worry how we will manage the move, how much i have to organise, declutter, etc, etc…the dream has repeated itself in many variations, mostly with a very anxious feeling associated with all of the decisions i have to make! so much so that i became lucid when found myself back at that place and in the last two “episodes” i decided to stop worrying and go around and look outside the windows and to go out of the place to check out the neighbourhood! That was a lot better. 
Not only have I had dreams where I have the same dream over and over at random times, but I’ve had actual dream series - they could be TV shows! XD
I can’t remember any examples, but I know what I’ll do is wake up from a cool dream and remember it, then the next night I fall asleep and I have a short recap of last night’s dream, and then it continues. It ends either when I forget about it, decide I’d rather have other dreams, or when there’s not really anything left for the dream series to do.
I’ve also had a recurring dream about a shopping mall. I’ve had two(?) dreams about it, and in both I never got to see the place entirely, however I could see paths and the street from the other part… I guess there’s much more to dreaming than most think
I’ve had a dream series, too. Except they were more of a series. When I was about five, I had a three-night, three-dream series in which I had to stop the moon from falling into the Earth, or barring that, fly to the moon on a motorcycle to evacuate it of astronauts so that casualties could be minimized. This was before MM or HP had come out, btw.
so dream series are really wide spread eh? What I want to know is why they happen at all, I mean most dreams usually dont have that. There are probably hundreds of diffrent possible explinations though… We stil have so much to learn about dreams. We humans have a lot to learn.
For me, I was actually anticipating the next installment in the series, and expecting it to happen. Yeah, I know. Boring answer. Whatever.
Add one more to the people who have dream “series”.Actually it’s something like a specific place which I’ve been to,two or three times.I remember telling myself I’ve been here before while I was still dreaming.
It was a dark place under a mountain,and the detail that made me remember that place every time was a cage suspended from a withered tree branch.It feels a bit like visiting a familiar world again,I liked it when it happened.
