Dream Weather

After keeping a dream journal for some time, I have began to notice the dream weather, or the tempatures and conditions I am surrounded by. It seems, it was natural for me, and as I kept the DJ, I recalled my dreams in depth, including the weather.

Last night, in a dream tentively titled, “It’s hot outside and snowing,” needless to state, it was hot outside and snowing. I thought about it for a minute, but really paid no attention to it.

Duh. Huge Dreamsign. Damn, I should have saw that and took advantage of an LD, but I didnt. That sh** made me :grrr:

Does anybody else pay any attention to the weather inside dreams?

The only thing I have noticed, is the fact that whatever the temperature outside is, I am immune to it. It isn’t the least bit painful to walk barefoot on snow, for example.

Quite the opposite for me (snow hurts!). A quality of the dream weather for me is that it’s always way off, like a MI-style blizzard in CA.

All I’ve noticed is this:

If I had an FA and become lucid:

  • When I look out my window, it will be dark, cold, windy and wet (maybe raining).
  • However, if I go downstairs and go out the door, it will be light, warm, calm and dry .

The weather in my dreams are almost always perfectly sunny, or dark… although i do recall watching a most stunning moon dance about in a clear night sky (even though that technically isn’t weather :content: )

Oh geez, most of my dreams have depressingly boring weather. Sunny and clear all the time. It’s better at night time, but still boring.

I love rain, thunderstorms (as if you can’t tell), lightning, wind and clouds (maybe because there isn’t much of that where I live), but it hardly ever happens. In fact, I think the most odd weather I’ve ever experienced in a dream was simply a couple of inches of snow already lying on the ground.

So yes, I do notice the weather. I wish it would become more interesting!

The weather in my dreams seems to quite realistically follow the weather in real life. If its winter, I’ll dream, and it’ll be winter in the dream. If its summer time, it’ll be summer in my dream. No matter the season, I almost always have either a nice blue sky, clear starry sky, or an overcast sky in my dreams, which are all dreamsigns of mine

I don’t usually pay much attention to the weather in dreams. It’s usually sunny I think.
But the wierd thing is that I once had a FA in which it was autumn, while the winter was just ending in real life.

I havent dreamt of bad weather yet. It’s always mild or warm not very exciting  If I had satelite I could watch those programes on tornado chasers - that might help

hmmm, thinking bout weather, its usually sunny, thou on one dream it was night… but mostly its sunny…

I’ve never paid much attention to the weather but indeed it’s funny and interesting to consider

Personnally, my dreams show rather sunny weather. I suppose the sun is generally covered by clouds or at a suitable time so that I rarely consider very shining sunlight. Last night for example, the scene took place on a beach at twilight time…

But no rain at all, never, I think.

pretty much all my dreams are daytime, with clouded weather. i never notice temperature, and have never seen snow in my dreams. i did see lava once when i was 9 or so. even stepped in it. didnt feel a thing.

sometimes my dreams are a nighttime setting, but even then its clouded. i cant remember that factor ever changing. probably because i hate sunlight. facing the sun causes me to see squat unless i look down all the time. sunglasses never work either. let too much light through.

maybe i should do rc’s whenever the sky is clouded?

Whenever I’m lucid, I always pay attention to the weather, especially the clouds which often looks more amazing than irl. Last night for instance I had a nice LD. Through the window I saw the formation of a tornado from one dark cloud against an otherwise perfect blue sunny sky. The cloud swirled around until it formed the typical funnel… Next I opened the window and let it in. I had a glass of water in my hand, the funnel immediately got attracted to it and took all the water with it

Usually my dream weather is bright and sunny. Sometimes it’s a cool night with a big shining moon. Thunderstorms are pretty rare, but they happen.

Just last night, I felt the intense heat of the sun on my neck in a crazy dream that was somewhat mystical in content. Suddenly, I became aware of the sun. And when I looked into the sky, for some reason, the sun was WAY bigger than it is IRL. Becoming aware of this, the sun was burning my neck, and OMG, startled me out of the dream.

Hmmm…i dont seem to remember any particular weather from my dreams except one lucid when i was suprised that its the bright day,but this is interesting and im going to pay more attention to it from now on.
Especiaslly to the sky which i thought must be symbolising something about us.Not sure why i think this but its somehow remarkable thing, usually its look make many dreamers stunned by its beauty, other times it becomes dark and dangerous.Anyways…its big,its above anything, its a mystery,it makes great impression while we awake…
i wonder if we could decipher what sky means for our subcounciousness.

Thunderstorms and tornados are the most common occurences of dream weather for me.

I always love a good thunderstorm.

I was thinking I never really notice the weather at all, and then I read Mystic’s post which made me realize that tornado dreams are a huge recurring dream theme. When I was in grade 5-6 I wanted to be a storm chaser. Unfortunately, where I live there are never ever tornados. I think I saw one forming in my life but we were at the lake so we jetted. I guess I really want to see one bad, but not in real life. So I always see them in my dreams, and they are always incredibly fierce, there being sometimes 5 or 6 tornados and they are all closing in on my fast. Definite dreamsign. Thanks Mystic.

I don’t suppose you could pass some of that weather on to me, could you? :content:

Two nights ago I dreamed of plowing 3 foot high snow drifts off the road with a garbage truck. There’s no snow where I live in May :content:

I remember reading someone that tornados where actually really common in dreams… and from just reading peoples posts, it seems to be a correct assumption.

Stormthunder… next time I have a stormy dream I will think of you!
