So I’ve been relatively inactive in the dream-world for a while, but now that I’m on a wild sleep cycle I thought I would make the most of it by re-starting my dream journal and actively trying to LD again.
No such luck with lucidity yet, but my dreaming has been rather erratic. Often when I wake up I will recall a tiny bit of a dream, a single line or a feeling or a concept. Not much for my poor dream journal (which I do keep in a book next to my bed, not on this forum). I’ve been referring to these as “Dream Wisps” for lack of a better term. Is there any more official term to describe this? I dunno.
Anyways, I have quite a few of these-- anywhere between three and five in a 24-hour cycle, and I usually write down the best description I have of the wisp immediately after waking, which is usually one simple line, like, “A new bed that makes it harder to sleep” and “Preparing for a war of the tribes.” I don’t remember any visuals from the dream, just a feeling or a subject or a single quote I remember a character saying.
I’m really not sure what to make of this. It might just be a matter of poor recall, or there might be something strange going on while I sleep. I do have “full” dreams in addition to the wisps though, at least one a day since I started actively keeping track again.
Has anyone else ever experienced this? Any thoughts on what might be causing it?
Thanks guys
