Empty/Blank Dreamspace?

I had this dream last night where i became lucid and then I tried to ascend like they do in that TV show “Stargate” and also like what is supposed to have happened to Jesus. Ascension is basically when you ascend to a higher state of being and become a being of pure energy. Anyway, I closed my eyes and kept focusing on trying to raise my consciousness and I felt my body becoming lighter and I sort of floated up, the next thing I know I’m standing in what looks like a blank or empty dream. All I can see is white everywhere, I could feel my body yet when I look down I couldn’t see it, just whiteness. It looked a lot like in the movie “The Matrix” where Neo is in the loading program with Morpheus and everything is completely white. I yelled out “Hello? Where am I?” and got no answer, I was quite worried at this point wondering what the hell i’d done so i forced myself to wake up. I woke up straight away and I could feel a lot of increased activity in my brain. My head felt all tingly and I could feel what felt like blood rushing really fast around my head and all the neurons firing really fast. It was a strange experience.

I’ve also encountered this vast nothingness of just white light in another lucid dream where i was going down a road and then all of a sudden i got to a point where the dream scenary ended and all i could see was this whiteness. Like my mind didn’t have time to map the scenary.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced empty/blank dreamspace like this?

Hi eonnn,

I haven’t experienced something exactly like that, but something similar.

First, I was in a regular dream. It was a regular ND, but a strange one. Different layers of colours were placed above eachother and they were waving around. Then suddenly, the layers dissapeared and a pitch black space remained. The dream did not end. I continued to see this pitch black space with nothing in it. Although it is not the white space you describe, it was I think also an empty dreamspace, or literally a dream of emptyness.

thanks for the reply.

yeah i’ve been in pitch blackness before too, can be quite scary.

It’s possible to be conscious during non-REM sleep. Sounds like that’s where you were.

I’ve never had anything quite like that, but one of my first LDs occurred in what I remember describing as “the space behind my eyelids.” You know, when you close your eyes and you can sort of see bits of abstractness going around in the dark? That’s where I was. I’m not sure if I was really there physically or as just a disembodied me sort of thing, though. Nothing really happened. I think I imagined myself an alarm clock to do a RC, proved that I was dreaming, and just sort of sat there for a while because I couldn’t leave. Faintly bizarre.
