Has anyone ever attempted to use Reiki techniques to aid entering LDs? I am just starting to play with this idea and wondered if anyone has experiences to relate concerning this approach?

What is this ‘Reiki’ you speak of? 
Reiki is a form of healing energy based upon Japanese traditions. It uses energy, usually passed through the hands to heal a variety of problems from physical health issues to more psychological and spiritual problems.
It actually has quite a following among professional nurses in this country and numerous hospitals and medical centers have included it in their Complementary Alternative Medicine (CAM) programs. It works on the same principles as the meridians in Accupuncture and Shaitsu.

I am not sure, but I know that OBE’s can occur after opening all the main chakras (from my own experience and other peoples). I have never heard of Reiki itself being used for inducing LD’s
No, nor have I. There’s no time like now to try, though!

There is a french site about astral and reiki, but they don’t use reiki to induce AP’s or LD’s. On the other hand, as darakat said, they use shakras opening.

Hm… When I was really young, I used to do that whenever I got a cut or something, way before I ever heard of chi or anything like it. (I also tried it on my nintendo when it didn’t work

Did you suceed with the nintendo? Maybe you should read up on Reiki and the like and try it again.
The application I am interested in is to see if by using Reiki energy, I can aid in developing more predictable results with LDs. It seems to be a logical application of energy. I have begun to do this and am waiting to see what happens. I’m not in a hurry. However, if others have worked with this I’d love to communicate with them. Apart from sharing results, I see no need to reinvent the wheel, and if others have done some experiments with it, I’d love to know. I have seen little about this on the net and it frankly surprises me. Reiki folk are open to this sort of thing and i cannot imagine I’m the first to think of such a connection.
