Establishing a permanent enviroment

For all your ld’ers out there:

I suggest you give this a try. It’s an idea I have been very interested in recently, and although I won’t be able to try it myself anytime soon, I still want to know your results.

So, let me just get straight to the point – create your own, permanent, dream setting. At first, you should probably attempt to make your own house, something notably different then your real life house.

Call upon your SC, DG, or whichever entity you wish. Tell him/her/it that this house is the property of your dream self. You now live here, permanently. There are many things you can try to let your SC know that you want this house to be here every time you dream. Maybe post a notice on the front of it.

After you set up your house and arrange it how you wish, you can continue on with your dream. When you awake, try and remember everything about your house. Draw it down, maybe.

When you go to sleep the following night, imagine yourself in your new home.

If you become lucid, see if your house still exists. If you don’t wake up in it, maybe you could summon it.

Study it, see if it is how you remembered.

If it is, congratulations, you are now a home-owner

If your house remains constantly stable, you could move on to neighbor’s houses. Eventually, you could move on to your own town! Who’s to say you cannot establish permanent DC’s as well? Give your house a nice little kitty, or an octopus for that matter.

Has this been tried before?

For your question, yes. But that doesn’t mean it’s not awesome enough to repeat to others. This is an entirely seperate feature to lucid dreaming, and is my personal favorite. I don’t know why it makes me so relaxed yet excited, but it just does. It’s like having a vacation home, except you’re in a world where the laws of physics are voided, and the morals of life are non existant.

Your suggestion for the town is also an awesome idea. How cool would it be to work this up to be a country or something. I personally would just get enjoyment out of seeing everything getting built, knowing that I am the ruler of everything ( even though that’s always the case in a lucid dream ). It just gives me a feeling of ultimate power and is a pretty effective stress reliever

Good stuff. For you fanatics, I suggest you keep an eye out on this general area of interest  .

EDIT: fixed a spelling error that was annoying me, lol.

this is an awesome idea. It’d be like living in your own world… an alternate reality… now you made me want an LD even more now… even though it wasn’t possible for me to want it more! Garghh, well I will live with… oh never mind.

Doesn’t Writerscube do this?

Many do this. Dreamscape creation has been around for many years.

This too is kind of making me want to just go to sleep right now, lol.

My initial idea was for people to have their own town where they could live in, go to an ice-cream store, send / receive mail, etc, etc.

I just think it would be so fun.

Personally though, I think what I most want to do in a LD (besides sex) is to take part in a massive Spartan / Roman battle.

I don’t know, it’s just something that I think would be fun

Perhaps I’ll make a thread about it later

i will probably do this

It’s a great idea

I’ll make a mental note

The mental notes… are stacking…

cool

no not cool ^ Friggen Awesome :cool_laugh:

It sound like loads of fun, the perfect thing to plan out in daydreams. I have been thinking alittle about creating a forbidden city type thing in my own style, although trying to stay in the same, area of styles. But there are so many different environments to create. And, for me a little overambitious at this time.
Ofcourse in a world I’d leave much uncertain, One of the things I enjoy is exploring new strange places. Even a new room in a house. In fact, I’d rather just detremine a certain style of house, with a certain feel to it, maybe set some key rooms. But leave everything else to chance.

mm

i gots a plan

a grand city. medieval style. In the center is a huge tower. A magical tower. With floaty things around it and such.

ohh… or maybe a city in the sky.

or a pirate’s den!

Aww i can’t decide!

In fact, Writerscube has created two dream planets. I suggest you read his 192 hour dream in his dream diary.

Has anyone here played Animal Crossing? I think my dreamworld would be a bit like that… apart from I could do ANYTHING!

Near were I live, there is an abandoned mental hospital. Its alot nicer than it sounds. Most of the building have been demolished and left by itself, everything has just grown, the area is massive and it has patches of trees and rivers. Its always been my home away from home really, I used to play there when I was younger and I know walk the dog there pretty much every day. I could find my way around there with my eyes closed. Infact I actualy woke up there after a night of heavy drinking recently

But, sometime in the next few years its going to built over, houses and a supermarket (Like we need more!!) and other such crap. Needless to say I’m very angry about it.

I want it to live on in its current state, if not in real life, in my head. I hope I can get good enough at LDing so I can reconstruct it in my head.

ok. i got it.

Recently i’ve been trying some DI.

I want to be in the center of a field surrounded by forest

keep it simple, i figure.

But i realized it’s true purpose.

Whatever field i go to will be the site for my dream city.

YES!

rock on!

(also, using the magic tower walled city idea!)

Mines been ready just cant have a good LD…grrr

I wish I had an abandoned mental hospital to go to. Oh, right, I could have.
