Ever wonder if what you think is a dream is real?

Im starting a new college today, and i hadnt found time to buy my parking permit yet, so i called the office and they told me that for 2.50 i could purchase a one day pass out of a machine.

last night i had a dream that i was searching through my coin jar to find 2.50 worth of coins. didnt really think anything of it, much less was too lazy to even write it down. Then this morning im brushing my teeth, and my mom asks me “where you playing with coins a couple of hours ago, i thought i heard something…” i replyed “no of course not i was sleeping, why would i be up that early?” However after thinking about it for a little bit, i recalled the dream that i had.

Which brought up the question… I wonder how many times we do stuff in our dreams, that we are actually doing in real life… aka sleep walking, i had never really thought about it before.

so i was wondering if anyone else had had similar experiences, and if so what is your opinion on the freaquency of this occuring.

Interesting question. I don’t remember this type of thing ever happening to me. Nice pic

This happens to me a lot, mostly because I spend lots of time meditating, and I don’t really care for “grounding” that most people do. In fact, I’m not entirely far from turning my reality into a dream, in a sense.

But even in my childhood, I still have lots of instances of these unknown memory/dream things. For example, I have lots of “memories” of doing stuff with my father. However, some of these things go against what I know of his personality or ability at that time. A few of them seem downright unlikely to have ever happened, and I have no evidence of them ever having happened other than a memory. I’m thinking that some of these memories are actually dreams that seemed so real that I couldn’t tell the difference.

Similarly, sometimes old memories can seem like dreams because you’ve changed so much over time. But you can still usually tell the difference.
