Here’s a thing I’ve experienced a few times.
I wake up in the middle of the night, fully awake. I try to move and turn over, but my entire body feels like it’s breaking. I can move my arms, fingers, legs and stuff if I move slowly, but the smallest movement in my torso causes the worst pain I have ever experienced. It’s like my ribs are old wooden sticks just waiting to snap.
I know Im awake (100%) and, well, it’s quite scary. Most of the times I just keep lying there, waiting for it to pass, and then I slowly move over. In the morning I feel no pain at all, or anything else that might indicate something funny.
The worst thing about this is the feeling of every bone in your body being pushed to the verge of snapping. This might be a really nasty thing with my sleep paralysis, which would explain why it would pass after a minute or two.
Yeah, it passed in like 2-3 minutes (I just layed still). It wasn’t SP I think, cos I could move, it would just hurt so bad I couldn’t breathe.
I was completely awake, and not the recently-awoken-dizzy-hallucinating kind of awake.
Honestly, what it feels like is… Well, it’s the feeling you’d have in the morning after having a grown man jumping on your chest the night before. I felt as if every single bone in my chest was (or about to be) broken.
After having the experience a few times I don’t feel that I desperately need them to go away, cos I find all these stuff quite interesting rly.
Something like this has happened to me. I woke up and felt this same tearing pain in my stomach. I was afraid that my appendix had ruptured or something.
No, it’s nothing like that. It happens maybe once or twice every other month, passes in a minute or two, only occurs when waking up in the middle of the night, and I can feel no signs of it in the morning.
