For about a year or so I have been having this uncontrollable slideshows in my mind before i go to bed. They are of people. I am in a state where I can ask them who they are. When I do, this small voice of what seems to be a little girl tells me to “stop talking” not in a mean way but in a way were i am disrupting something. I also get the color yellow a lot or see the color yellow in the presence of these faces.
I don’t fear these presences but i can’t seem to get past asking them what they are doing if anything at all. They can get a little annoying when they don’t answer.
Could be many things, although most people here will probably tell you they are hypnagogic hallucinations.
I have my own visions before bed, and I fully welcome them, even encourage them. They are pleasing to watch, and I can learn things from them. Never had anyone tell me to be quiet though.
To give my opinion I’d have to hear more about the experiences and visions…but keep observing, pondering…find your own conclusions. ^ ^
This is very interesting! Never heard of it before and it seems to happen to a lot of people.
I guess an explanation could be that the faces are short-term memory (faces you’ve seen in the street during the day, for example) being converted to long-term. I know this process happens every night during sleep. I don’t know in which sleep stage this happens, but it could be that for some reason some people can remain awake up to this stage while most cannot or normally don’t.
Maybe if you try to pay attantion to background people’s faces you’d end up recognizing some when going to sleep. But then they wouldn’t really be background anymore, would they?
