Failed RC =(

I had a dream last night, and half way through I thought I was dreaming, so I did the nose RC and I couldn’t breath! Ive heard about looking at your hands as a RC, Is that method reliable?

On a side note, does anyone notice that 80% of the topics on LD4all.com are composed of these 5 things

1.) Is life a lucid dream?
2.) This is too hard, I might give up
3.) Is WILD scary?
4.) How long can a lucid dream last?
5.) I controlled my dream, does that count as a lucid dream? / Was this a lucid dream?

I would say only about 20-25%, but that is what this site is for anyways.

looking at your hands can be extremely reliable for some.

Well, I was exaggerating a little, but seriously its a lot of the same posts ( not that this post is much different =D )

Well, Ill try the hand technique tonight, hopefully it works

3/4 lucid dreams I’ve had have come from me using auto-suggestion to do a RC while in a dream. 2 of them came from me looking at a digital clock and 1 of them came from me looking at my hands. I would say it’s pretty reliable. The other one I just randomly knew I was in a dream.

The RC that works best for me is the finger through the hand one. Pretty simple to repeat in real life, and has never failed in a dream.
Infact, now that I think of it, everytime I become lucid in a dream from an RC, it’s always with that RC.
Just try to push your index finger through the palm of the other hand.
Only thing that has happened to me, is a couple of times I had to push really hard, but eventually, it always works.

The RC that works best for me is indeed the nose RC. But it took me a few tries to learn how to do it properly

What I do is I first take a deep breath through my nose and pay attention how it feels. Then I pinch my nose and try to breathe in. The trick is to remember how it feels to breathe normally and expect it to happen again.

finger through palm= works but makes me wake up
nose RC= works 50% of the time but my nose is sensitive and I don’t like doing it
hand RC= used to work, now doesn’t, however when I do it during the day a lot of times this makes me lucid somehow anyway.
