Favorite superhero

True , also i think DC marvel tottaly overused the power “set” so to speak of superman (hello , there are atleast 3 kryptonians in the DC marvel universe and quite a bunch of characters with simmilar powers …)

So is superman an alien so to speak?

yes he is (not only so to speak  ) he was send with a rocket from the planet krypton shortly before it exploded , due to the yellow light of the earth sun (kryptons sun glows orange or something …) he gained superpowers (his body is supposed to work like a solar cell) … as did the other kryptonians that arrived after him

Thanks, but why does he resemble humans?

if you have to know … because DC comics decided so …
Also because most advanced and benevolent races in the DC universe are atleast remotly humanoid

That’s a silly question. If he didn’t resemble humans we could not call him SuperMAN. People wouldn’t feel the same sense of familiarity towards the character if not for his humanoid appearance.
The real question is not why he resembles a man but, why did DC comics choose to have him be an alien from another world. It’s logical to assume that they came up with the idea of creating a super-MAN first, then filled in the back story afterwards. At no point did anybody remind the creators of Superman, that it’s incredibly unlikely that a race would evolve with such a startling resemblance to ourselves. If someone had, I’m sure they’d have come up with something more realistic… Like recieving powers from a nuclear blast, being exposed to too much solar radiation or accidentally absorbing one’s own conjoined twin.
