It took one year exactely and I can finally LD at will!!!
I’m so happy!
Over 15 years and I still can’t!
I’ve been practicing for over a year now, and I actually seem to be getting worse .
I’ve had my ups and downs, now I seem to be on a low point…
Congrats Midnight Please tell us more on how you do it <|:D
Over 3 months now and just 1-3 per month.
I see that each time im getting worse, i remember that my first days were the best and now im just getting lazy to this.
Waw ! Great !
Could you tell us more about your technique ?
I’m using WBTB + repeating ‘‘Dream dream dream dream dream…’’ and so on until my body falls asleep and I’m inside the dream. It’s kind of like WILD I guess… The repeating part is because the way my thoughts change into a dream. It happens so fast that when I realize it, I wake up immediately, but when I repeat it, I know that whatever is going on, is a dream. And it helps to make things a bit calmer. Yay!
WBTB is the best technique ever
you know what…im gonna use that technique MORE seriously now…
You know…I’ve yet to actually try WBTB .
Yeah for me too, it nearly brings me LD’s at will (when im not lazy ).
Wasn’t it MILD? Or am i mistaken? Because i have also had pretty decent success with WBTB and repeating: “What if this is a dream?” until i fall to sleep. If successful, i will recognize the dream almost as soon as it starts. If not as successful i recognize dream in my later part of this particular REM period.
I really don’t know. I don’t think it really is MILD though. Something similar perhaps
I just used the WBTB technique for about one hour, it took me a little of sleep but not enough to keep sleeping. Next time im gonna be for about half hour or so…it’s basically until you’re out of drowsiness(sleepy body, mind aware).
But anyway WBTB seems like one of the most powerful techniques ever!! it ALMOST worked for me today.
Yeap. I have used it rarely, because i prefer to sleep until i’m done, not to split my sleep into two parts (WBTB in between them). But as i have had heavy sleep during last some months already (sometimes it’s even hard to remember ND-s), i’m forced to use WBTB sometimes to have at least some LD’s during month
So since March i have practiced WBTB in 4 mornings, and it has worked 3 times (75% success), but i bet as i practice it more, the precent will be even higher.
Cyrus: IMO, it’s not MILD. The basis of MILD is remembering you have to become lucid in your next dream through 2 exercices:
- recalling your dreams in order to find when you should have become lucid. Then, relive the dream situation and imagine you become lucid. So, if it happens again, you have more chance to be lucid.
- repeating yourself you have to remember to be lucid (sort of autosuggestion). This can lead you to a WILD, but it’s not the first purpose of this technique.
Midnight’s technique looks more like a “mantra WILD”.
Really? well im not surprised about WBTB.
This is what i made,
i went to bed by 10pm and woke up by 4am,then i stayed 1 full hour awake then back to bed again, i couldn’t sleep maybe because of thinking about it too much. But in the last 2 hours i was hearing the buzz, seeing some flashes and i think i ever heard some noises…so i was pretty close to be succesful!
Midnight’s technique looks more like a “mantra WILD”.
Heh. Then i must re-label my last LD-s, because i used to repeat: “What if this is a (lucid) dream?” until i fall asleep, or until i get too tired and pretty sure that i will fall to sleep very soon and that most probably the mantra has been cultivated in my mind.
Then i must re-label my last LD-s, because i used to repeat: “What if this is a (lucid) dream?” until i fall asleep
LOL! But how will you re-label this method of induction? It’s not MILD, it’s not autosuggestion. It looks like a kind of critic reflexive method, like RC’s. If you get a LD with it immediatly after falling asleep, it’s WILD… but if not?
