First LD... Limited senses (Edit: Staying frozen problem)

I woke up at about 4:30AM this morning after 5,5 hrs of sleep (something must have just distracted me), and I watched TV for 20 minutes. Than I went back to sleep, trying chaining, because it works for me (summons vibrations). After ~10 mins the vibrations came, but I got disracted, I tried 2 times more and I think that during 3rd try it succeeded… I felt like I could control the dream, but I ‘knew’ somehow I won’t feel anything (the senses except vision & hearing won’t work) so I was pushed out of trying to do some things that needed these senses, without any possibility to even try them. Also the vision was very faded and blurred, and the dream was very short. When I woke up, I started to think if this really was an LD and if it had any action…
Has anyone else had something like this?

Topic title changed to “First LD… Limited senses” from “Was it my 1st LD?” for clarification. :dragon:

If you knew that you were dreaming then it was a LD.

So, this might be an LD. I felt like I was a ghost seeing from TPP (I wasn’t there). I think my thoughts were lucid, but trapped in a dreambody. Something like: I think “Let’s fly” but my dreambody says loudly: “But I can’t flay, it will be no point because I won’t feel that I’m flying” and does what it wants to do. Anyways, I now believe in myself

It’s all about believing.
It’s so much easier when you become lucid in the middle of a dream, cos then you have it all set up. When doing WILD or w/e, you are mentally awake and will only experience what you expect to experience.

Just as you said you “knew” that your senses would be limited (your subconscious talking). I cant say “Just believe you will be able to see” and all that, cos I know it doesn’t really work that easy.

Try to, as soon as you become lucid, think back on a previous dream that you recall very well, and if everything goes as it should, you will be standing there, in that dream, with clear vision and all your senses.

The other problem is that I can’t freeze completely, because while I can not move my body without problems, but the head remains slightly incontrollable. When I think I just won’t move, the head will still suddenly turn around a bit, lightly jump, twitch etc. Even thinking about something intensively (and really forgetting about body) won’t stop it. It’s just incontrollable… anyone could help?

Maybe you could try to be a little forgiving of any such movement? It’s possible that it’s not the movement holding you back, but it’s your reaction to it that is. A tiny movement won’t set you back too much, but getting angry, etc at yourself probably will. Perhaps that is what’s happening?

Hm, I haven’t thought this way before. Maybe it’ll work, thanks

Gee, another LD! Quite short thought. And unusual.
Here it is: the dream went to the moment when I was on the side of my desk facing the bed, where I have my digital alarm clock. I looked at it (showing normal hour) and thought of doing RC. I looked again at it, and it was different… I gained lucidity, but I also felt an immediate pressure on my head urging me to stop being lucid… I felt heavy vibrations, I tried to win with the pressure, and my eyelids started to open, half of my vision was dream, half the real world. I couldn’t also resist to open my eyes, but I fought with it… the vibrations were intensifying and eventually I woke up. I failed this time, but meybe the next time won’t be that tough

Yeah I get what your saying. and ^ just embrace all those crazy feelings dont run away from them.

I had a lucid yesturday and it was dissapointing. I got what you said. I tried to see, but couldnt see. I would try to jump and do a flip, but would get locked upside down and so on. Hmmm… what if I closed my eyes in the dream world? Anyone tried that? Would it like start the Lucid process over again or something?

I must try that tonight. Besides, I started to wake up at 2:10 AM and it’s third time… hope this won’t be a habit, or else I will have to get to bed on :cool_raz:M to have a successful LD try
