First succesful WILD... for about a minute.

Tried WILD after 5 hrs of sleep and had a lucid dream. I started to have convulsions and saw some green screen which said something like count and say I’m dreaming(which I was doing up to that point). As I did the screen went farther and farther away and I thought oh no I’m losing it. So I wake up and then throw off the covers only to notice I am dreaming. So I go downstairs and try to push through the wall but I can’t so I use the door. Then I try to fly but thats not working either, and when I jump my boots get shrunched so I try to adjust them, and I wake up before I can try to sustain it by spinning, etc.

I think I was getting too excited. I didn’t really want to waste time continually trying to push through a wall when I could hopefully do something more interesting. Maybe I need some more discipline in LDs. The only LDs where I’ve been able to fly, etc. is when I had the abilities already in the dream.

What should I do to help my dream control and sustaining an LD?

You should find one thing in particular that you want to do in an LD, then you won’t be so stressed about everything there’s to do.

To make it last longer you can shout “Lucidity X1000”, or “Total dream control”, it works very often, so it would be a good thing to at least try. You can also try walking through a window; you’ll just be on the other side of it, but you will feel ‘stronger’ and have more control.

You can rub your hands or spin around your own axis to make it last longer. If you want, you can try to freeze everything but yourself.
