yes.
YES!
I did it. I had my lucid dream, after, like, 8 months of doing nothing. It was absolutly real and it was so long that i had two or threee thoughts about how long it is, and when it is supposed to end. I flew. I hypnotized people. Man, i did so much! And such a stupid ending. During dream i hypnotized some old man, so i figured i could hypnotize everyone. And once i for some reason returned home(the whole thing was in my city), and my mother told me to sweep floor. Who does she think she is? Hypnotize. And - it doesn’t work. Even before an attempt to hypnotize her i had a feeling that my real mother is waking me up. OK, lests sweep. My thought: “i want floor to be clean”. Result: nothing. At this point i was sure someone in real worls is trying to wake me up. Soon afer this: i’m awake. Deep night. Noone is near. grrrrrrr, thanks to myself, i ended my lucid dream like this.
Dammit, lucid dreams are awsome.
Congratulations! Still waiting on mine…
I guess you don’t want to wait another 8 month for the next lucid dream now
Well done .
It sounds like you lost a fair amount of lucidity near the end. Happens to me too.
Happens to everyone for that matter.
Other then that, sounds like an awesome LD . Maybe you should up a topic in the DD forum? You could give an account of the whole dream there
.
The funny thing ih, my DC was the fact i was flying. I had a pretty long common dream, and at some point i flew. For a long long time i wanted to fly in my dream, so i guess the flight itself caused lucidity.
And now that i think of it, this dream didnt differ from usual drams much. only difference is that i knew i was dreaming. I can do whatewer i want in common dreams, the thing is i just dont know i can abuse my abilities. In the beginning i thought lucid dreams are something really different from real.
They’re great anyway, like hell i’m waitng for another 8 months.
Well, for me… LD’s are extremely different from ND’s.
As it was your first one, it may have just been unvivid and/or low lucidity.
Here’s the best way to help (for me anyways):
When you realise you’re dreaming, look at an object. It’s best if the object has an interessting pattern or texture on it (preferably both).
Consider how realistic that object looks. Now, go over to it and touch it. run your fingers over it so you can feel the texture better.
Consider how realistic it feels.
Now, step back and look around you. Think about how the world around you seems real. How you actually seem to be there. How solid it feels. The ground beneath your feet, the air your’re breathing.
That may sound like a lot, but it generally only takes a couple of seconds.
And trust me - it helps a lot.
And as you’ve now had your first LD, your second one should actually come easier. So, don’t give up . You shouldn’t have to wait another eight months
.
Wow, I wish I knew about that yesterday! I just had one last night and it was pretty low-level (but it had the highest vividity of my 3 LD’s.).
I’m gonna try that next time I get an LD. Thanks!
Yeah, kind of like Sureal said, a lot of lucid dreamers make sure that they get their logical sense back in their dream before they do anything. I haven’t had a LD yet, but when I get my first one I’m not gonna be like “Wow, I’m lucid!” and jump off the top of my house…I’m going to do what sureal said, and do a few math operations mentally. Apparentely that helps A LOT!
I got very excited in my first LD, and that what got me up, you must be cool.
