Listen, I had my first HI the other day when I was chaining as I saw a HI of my living room. It was actually… cool! And I was very paranoid of HI’s and everything being freaky.
Imagine just looking at google images or something. Afraid of demons? Just look one up. Hey, it’s not so bad! In fact, they’re just images. Just think of it that way. Imagine a slide-show of google images playing in front of you, and if they move imagine it as a .gif file that was made by some artist. It doesn’t have to be scary, really. I hope this helps your mindset and I hope you all have amazing LD’s!
Sorry man I have got to tell you something. That’s all good if you plan your HI but my friend, who is a heavy lucid dreamer, told me never to do WILD for one reason. One day me and my friends were at school and we were told to go out to get calculators. The lights had gone down that corridor and it didn’t have any windows. Wie head screaming loud screaming. We looked up that corridor and a outline of a tall featureless man and he started to walk towards us. Please I don’t believe in ghosts or shadow people so don’t think I have gone crazy. Anyway he came closer too us and then we ran back in to are classrooms. The lights came back on. Trust me I have not gone insane because I have not seen that thing in 3 years.
Anyway back to how this affects dreaming, I have dreams about this happening and even when I wake up the first thing I want to do is RC simply because I don’t want a type 2 false awakening. Anyway you probably don’t believe me but what we saw that day changed me. And now friend has HI of him all the time. He has gone to see doctors about it and what he has got to do is next time he is lucid in a dream is confront him. He did and the monster only ever spoke 'because you saw me". And I believe my friend because we have been friends since we were 4. He got these hallucinations from WILD. The doctors are pritty much deciding weather he is metally unstable or not. Bottom line is that HI is not normal when out of SP so and he told me never to try this so I won’t.
@rustydreamer: That does semm like, uhm… a unique situation. IMHO that has nothing to do with HI, just with this weird thing you saw and your/his fear towards it. HI and SP can only “hurt” you if you are afraid of it. You could easily just have nightmares with this figure instead of HI. He could even try to confront it in HI as in just looking at it and thinking “I’m not afraid”. HI can happen out of SP, but still in the falling asleep process. HI while fully awake is sure a problem
@AJ: glad to hear! I personally LOVE HI. I think most people that are afraid of HI haven’t had them before. When you see HI (for me at least), it feels different than looking normally with your eyes. Somehow I feel like the image is in my head, yet it isn’t simply imagination, as it can get pretty vivid. I’m sure HI can get weird and maybe even a bit scary at times, but I just tend to go "LOL that’s so weeeeeird. love it " or whatever.
HI is like someone else is doing the imagining for you, and he’s doing a pretty good job at it.
Sometimes he likes to be an ass and projects scary images. It’s alright, it’s nothing more than a prank.
@rustydreamer - Wow, your situation sounds not too pleasant at all, but when you think about it, it proves just what they said.
Firstly, all three of you saw that…thing? That sounds weird, but it proves that it wasn’t a result of HI or hallucinations, because obviously all three of you would not be seeing the same thing and at the same time. It’s rare that these things happen in front of more than 1 person, because then it’s much more likely that the person is hallucinating based on their FEAR (and this is very important) instead of really seeing the ‘‘ghost’’.
So, in your situation, you either really saw a ghost, which I don’t think is likely, or perhaps someone was pulling off a prank or something like that. You haven’t been asking around about that I suppose?
Your friend is in an unfortunate situation, because SP/strong HI tend to depend or your expectations and level of fear, like mattias said. So, unfortunately, your friend is now afraid at night as a result of that experience and he sees that ‘‘ghost’’ in SP just because he expects to see it and is afraid of it. If that experience hadn’t happened to you three, he would never have had hallucinations about the ghost and maybe he would have enjoyed SP/HI to this day. That’s why experienced WILDers don’t have problems with that, just because they are not frightened by SP, they embrace it and that automatically makes the experience more enjoyable.
I hope my logic is logical
@Rusty well, this kind of targeted those who are mentally stable and never had that kind of situation, but even though I still had pretty scary situations, it still won’t affect me because if I have a HI about it in WILD, I am aware there will Be HI’s but I also know they’re fake and they can do prat to me
Kache nice way to think of it , xD!
@all of you guys really,
Thanks for the answers I actually prior to coming back and looking on the forum checked up on my friend he said this “The HI are starting to calm down he said I also now think that what we saw that day was a prank” (he is the only one who believes in ghosts and all that stuff you know) He does not need to see the doctors anymore so its just time you know.
Anyway some people not naming names think that I am lying or mentally unstable, trust me I am truly not I have never seen this again and also I have moved school so me and my friend we do not talk that much anymore. So guys I am going by the guess that it was just a prank I would like to think that anyway. So thanks guys this is the last time I will be visiting this post so do not bother asking anymore questions. I think its just best I try to forget about it now. Like I said I don’t have the HI I have RC induced lucid dreams and it going quiet well.
Bye,
