Freeky!

I had the scariest dream last night but it felt so real.

i woke up and it was dark. i was in my bed and looked around me. everything was fine so i thought i would just close my eyes and go back to sleep but suddenly my bedcovers yanked off me and i screemed the loudest i could. i heard and felt something climbing twards me on the side of my bed very fast but when i looked down at it i couldnt see anything only creases on my bed on where the thing was climbing. i felt it where my head was and i blinked and woke up suddenly

i looked around and was so freeked out because it felt like i was awake all that time and i only blinked. but everything was normal around me and my bed covers were on me. i couldnt sleep for ages, my eyes were wide open looking around for about an hour and a half!
did anything like this happen to any of you? it was sooo scary.

It sounds like a FA (false awakening) which had a nightmare quality about it. We have a FA topic at the top of this forum.

or perhaps your house is haunted? Lol.

I experienced something kind of like this once. I once had a nightmare where some strange thing was attacking me. I kept grabbing it and throwing it away from me, but it always flew back. Then, I woke up, and was in my bed, when it flew back, and attacked me invisibly, and I continued the cycle of throwing it away, and it flying back. Then, everything seemed to pulse, the attacks stopped, and I knew that I was truly awake, but the strange thing was, there seemed to be absolutely no difference between the dream and waking, or any experience of waking besides the pulse.

Fortunately, I was in the sort of semi-conscious state of mind you experience when you’re half awake in the early morning, where I wasn’t thinking enough to be really scared. I think the cause of this effect was either that I accidentally entered some weird state between dreaming and waking, where my sense of touch was still being created by the dream, while my other senses were awake, or that in that semi-conscious state of mind, I just didn’t notice the differences between the false awakening and reality.
