Over the past few weeks I have found myself waking up several (about 4-8 ) times a night, and now it’s really starting to kill my memory.
Im guessing it would have to do with the scoliosis of my spine (its about 40 degress to the right ) I’ve been to a doctor and talked about it, so dont worry about that.
Anyways, it causes me to toss-and-turn a lot even before I fall asleep. During the night I randomly wake up, turn over, and fall back asleep.
Ever since I started LDing, I’ve fallen asleep much faster, but when I couldn’t I used a copy of a file from the Brainwave Generator on a CD to help me wind down.
I sleep on a reletively soft pillow-top matress, and it usually takes me 1-2 hours to fall asleep. (It’s just the waking up that’s hurting me, not the time it takes to fall asleep)
Any suggestions as to what I could do? (That is, besides buying some big and expensive matress… or some crazy dreaming machine… )
Do you write down dreams every time you wake up during the night? You should.
And listen to songs from the album ‘Whispers From The Mirror’ by Keiko Matsui, and the album ‘Embracing The Wind’ by Kevin Kern. They are very relaxing.
Hey Haku, you know I just posted a query on as to why i’ve been waking up frequently… I too, have scoliosis (which is also all clear with the docs, hehe… and its barely noticable). I’m not sure of the severity of my scoliosis but i’m typically in pain from it, mainly in my neck.
Although this is something i’m learning to manage, perhaps this is the cause for us waking up so frequently! Our back/neck pain! lol… but it doesn’t happen often for me, only just recently.
As for advice… you should look for excercises for your scoliosis. If you can fix your back you should fix the sleeping problem (to some degree). I haven’t been doing mine, which is a big mistake… and now I forgot them!
