Frequent vibrations

Hi everyone,
I’ve been into LD’ing for about 2 months. I have only one experience with true LD-ing: I was playing football with some friends when I thought I could go faster if I could fly,I have been into psionics so I thought I would just let PSI carry me with the wind. Which happend quite ease, when I suddenly realised I was dreaming. Which made me wake up immediatly. Now I haven’t had any experiences with LD’ing since two weeks when that happened. But I’m having the vibrations very frequently now. They come almost every night. But they are very heavy sometimes. The chills get over my body and I start to hear a lot a swooshing noises which speed up in frequency and then wake me up because they almost hurt. I don’t think I can ever get used to them. Any hints?

It’s simple, try and distract yourself. Near-sleep states seem to heighten your senses and make them much more acute so I know it can be hard, but it can be done.

Take this for example. If somebody speaks to you or is addressing a large crowd and your mind is elsewhere, then what they say simply does not register with you. The sound is still there at the same tone and decibel level, and you are aware something is making noise, but your brain does not interpret it as it would if your attention was on the person speaking.

So apply the same principle to the vibrations. Instead of focusing on a particular aspect of them try to relax and just accept it as it comes. Or think about something entirely different like how dark the back of your eyelids are, and if HI develop allow yourself to be completely entranced by them.

I wish you all the luck in your lucid quest.

I know what you’re talking about since I’ve had the feeling a couple of times myself, too. I really don’t know what to suggest since I find it an excellent way to enter a LD. Perhaps you should imagine flying through a portal at a high speed and tell yourself to open your dream eyes and start dreaming. Might be a good way to distract yourself, too! I agree, the sounds and the rollercoaster feeling can be spooky at times but think of it as a way to start dreaming. :content:

You just need to deal with them…if not you can wake yourself out of them. Of course that would negate your chances of propogating a lucid dream from the vibes

Yeah I used to have this and tis a pain but it does disappear after a few times of experience’s it, all I did is just told myself carnt hurt me, n eventually it dunt bother u n if it does as some one put earlier take u mind of it turn a tv on in u dream un you mind does rest all best dont worry all works out.

Hi Gloaming,

If I understand well, you have those vibrations in dreams?

Sorry for the slow reaction, but no the vibrations I get are on the borderline of sleep and awake…

Yeah, I had that last night where I got vibrations in my bed. I thought it was the Old Hag so I was kinda freaked
