Yesterday for the first time I read that after you conquer a dream enemy you should ask for a gift. Last night I tried it and though I did not get a gift, asking made the dream much more interesting. So I was having one of my typical war dreams and I was fighting Tom Cruis as depicted in the Last Samurai. AH! You have no idea how much he annoyed me in that movie. I had finally severed both of his arms and was completely defenseless and asked him, GIVE ME A GIFT! He refused. I threatened to cut off his head. He still did not give me a gift. After a few more seconds of askiing for a gift I swiftly decapitated him with great frustration. Moments later I was hit by an arrow in the throat. The man who had hit me was on calvary and ran his horse to me and asked me for a gift. Then I woke up
You got to angry by the sounds of it…
I’ve never seen the movie, but I want to. I know it’s very unreflective of what true samurai’s and ninjas where like (you don’t get hundreds of ninjas jumping into combat…) but it looks like an interessting action movie .
Im sorry but that dream really made me laugh …
On a serious note, the gift idea was probably made up to conquer fears in dreams (fear as pictured in a dream enemy). If you just fight for ‘fun’, perhaps it’s less usefull and doesnt work the same?
If you cut off both his arms how could he give you a gift??
Haha, that dream is hilarious… What I’m wondering is why you hated Tom Cruise so much?
Anyways, the thinking behind asking your enemy for a gift is to befriend him in the first place. The point is to turn your enemy or fear into a friend, so if Tom Cruise was still your enemy, obviously having him give a gift wouldn’t make much sense…
Oh man, that dream was great… especially how the cavalryman asked you for a gift at the end…
Wow, that was one of the coolest dreams that I’ve ever heard of.
I thought it was going to be a dream about Vanilla Sky.
His dream over yours.
=D
