Frustrations!

Hi fellow lucid dreamers!
Since ive recommited myself to lucid dreaming some months ago, lots of good things have happend. Ive even had two LD’s! But now it seems ive hit a mental block or something. For some reason it seems my DR is getting worse and doind RC’s isnt doing the trick. Im doing lots of them during the day now. Also, im reading A LOT of books and filling my head up with LD related stuff. What i wonder is this: is it possible to over-do it when it comes to LD?

I think i want it so bad that im making it difficult for myself. Im trying different techniques every night now and doing small progress, but it seems like im doing so much that im putting some pressure on myself also some expectations. And when those expectations arent being met, i get a little dissapointed and that makes some mental blocks, like i cant do it or i dont have what it takes. Besides taking a break, are there ways of dealing with this in a constructive manner? Ideally i would like to change this into an opportunity for boosting my DR or LD, but i dont know if im asking for too much.

Same thing for me-except that I might still just be using to it. (hence the LD count 300)

I’ll tell u how going back to LDing went for me. I’m sure tho I’m gonna make it.

EDIT: And so are you.

Definetly! LD and OBE has top priority these days

Wow, totally missed this Q.

Yeah it’s nice if you just take it easy-stress is not going to help. If you, however, enjoy reading books about LDing, then you should do it to your heart’s content.

Getting too obsessed over achieving LD can indeed be negative instead. It’s even written in the guide: “It is important to not want it too much.”

If your dream recall is getting worse, then you should try to keep a dream journal, hmm?

Want it more than you want to want it. In other words, want is much as u like to. Just don’t get overexcited. The whole point of lucid dreaming is that you want it so much that u feel it. Also believe you can do it in the same manner.

Remember: feelings are powerful way to affect the SC.

Also being good at concentration helps as well if you want to stay lucid(since I’ve been talking about the point of LDing).

EDIT:nice avy btw.

EDIT2:Everyone can master LDs.

@Fate That is part of the issue Im having. Im writing a DJ every night and day. But lately it seems my DR is getting worse for some reason. There are some nights that I just cant seem to push myself to write down the dreams straight after waking from them though. Ive been trying to record them since I dont have the energy or whatever to write them down. Im just to tired! Anyway, Ive been remembering at least three dreams a night, but these last days its been on the decline. And tonight, I remembered none. Makes me to question my practice

Thanks for your input! Im meditating each day and also saying affirmations in my mind. The affirmations arent directly aimed at LD, but towards OBE, but its the same. It goes like this: Im a spirit in a body, capable of having experiences beyond the physical dimension. I can separate from the body, return to it safely and remember the experience.

I believe that to be able to WILD or consciously leave the body, I need to master how to relax the body and stop the internal chatter thats going on in my mind. Meditation and relaxation is part of that solution for me. Will keep you posted on how thats goingh. Need to go. My woman is waiting for me to go for a walk

My DR is back to normal now. It seems that WILDing in the night did something to disrupt my rhytm. After i stopped trying, my DR got back to normal. Now i remember three or four dreams again.
