Getting there

Hello there forum, I’ve had some exciting experiences in my dreams and sensing that having a LD may not be far away.

First of all, I have a dream journal that I use to gain more skillful in recalling my dreams (and I see an enormous improvement in DR ever since). I’m reading the book Lucid Dreams in 30 days by Keith Harary and Pamela Weintraub and am following it’s instructions. I haven’t found any information in the book that matches my experience, that’s why I want you to give me your thoughts on how to take adventage from it.

For two days on a row I’ve been busy with LDs within my dreams. Two days ago I asked my father in a dream about LDs, if he knew what it was and if he had ever gotten one. The ironic thing is that I can still see his surprised face and his smile as if he thought “son, if you’d only knew how far you were from having one…” . He was excited to show me his dream journal and that’s all I can remember from that specific passage in the dream.

Yesterday I got a lucid dream in a dream. This may sound a bit complex but I wasn’t lucid in the first dream, so my conciousness was limited. I do remember that I was able to control weather factors. I decided to enjoy the moment of getting so close and therefore didn’t realize that I would probably have more powers if I would wake up of that second dream and be lucid in the first one.

I realize that I am probably an inch away from having a LD, all I have to do is gain advantage over this knowledge. I am persuing the desire to become lucid in my dreams, but for some reason I don’t realize that I may be dreaming as I ask people about lucid dreams. Any suggestions?

You are so close to get your first LD!
To dream about dreams/LD’s is always a good sign for me that I’m close to have a LD. Because my SC isn’t influenced easily by RL things unless I really busy myself with something, it means that my SC got the idea of lucid dreaming when I dream about my DJ or something similar.

I think you had a FLD there. I once had a similar dream: I flew and while this I thought how I’ll tell my parents about this dream and I’ll say something like: “Yeah, of course this is awesome but the feeling would be even greater if I were lucid!” So I kind of knew that this was a dream but I wasn’t conscious of this fact.

Just go on with what you did so far. You can also do more RC’s in situations where you hear or say something about dreams.
