Going to the Astral plane via Lucid dream

Ever since I’ve heard about lucid dreaming, I’ve wanted to do something along the lines of OOBE or AP. So last night, In my LD, I wanted to see if I could go there in my dream. I thought ‘I wanna go to the astral plane’ and for a few seconds, nothing happened. I was slightly disappointed. Then all of a sudden, I was taken somewhere. It was extremely dark, I was kinda scared XD. But I calmed myself down, and walked a little bit. There was nothing, I was standing on a black flat triangle thing, that appeared to be floating around in space. I could see planets in the distance. I walked a bit, it was extremely quiet, not that I expected there to be lots of noise or anything. Almost as soon as I started walking and looking around, everything went black. I ended up back on earth, but still dreaming.

So was this the ‘real’ astral plane, or was it just my dream interpretation of it? And it is even possible to AP in an LD? And I apologize, I’ve done next to no research on anything like this.

I reckon APs are just dreams anyway. What proof is there otherwise?

I got this from another thread, I guess it would be considered proof.

Seeing that I’ve never been there myself, I couldn’t tell you whether you were really in an astral plain or not, but I did read somewhere that in an astral plain you have ‘360 vision.’ I’m not sure exactly what that’s like, but I’m sure if it happened you’d be able to tell.

I’ve also been on the quest to AP, long before I heard of lucid dreaming, and I’d love to know if it’s possible to AP in an LD as well.

Oh yeah, I’ve thought and read that you project your emotions into the astral plains while you sleep and this is what a dream is. I imagine, with this in mind when you lucid dream, you just have to figure out a way to leave the boundaries of the dream. I’m not sure how you’d do that exactly, you’d have to figure it out somehow.

I researched a bit, and apparently, yes you can AP from Lucid dreams. It just needs really high lucidity, doing the ‘increase lucidity!’ trick just once apparently isn’t enough. You have to do it 3-4 times to be able to AP. At this point, anything you could want in the dream would be easily summoned without any effort.

Then you tell the dream you want to have an OBE. And you end up back in your real body, but still sleeping, yet aware of your surroundings. You wait there, until the vibrations of SP kick in, don’t think about it, just let go of yourself, don’t analyze what’s happening, go with it. Once the vibrations are full-blown, you intend to leave your body, by rocking your awareness back and fourth, or sometimes just trying to stand up and get out of your body is enough.

Once you’re out, you may see things you KNOW aren’t happening, like people in your house, or being able to pick things up. This means you aren’t in an actual OBE, the dream imagery is superimposing itself on the astral realm. You can do two things from now on, you can take yourself back to your body, and try again. Or you can go with the semi-obe / LD.

Lol. So I guess it wasn’t a real OBE for me. D: I’ll try again, this time with much higher lucidity.
