Good news!

Finally a person with an open mind.
My friend David and I have been friends for like 8 or 9 years now and just a month or so ago he saw my lucid dreaming book in my bedroom. He asked me about it and I told him. He was interested so I gave him a link to some techniques and believe it or not he actually had the courage to take a look at them.
Now he has had 2 or 3 lucid dreams in JUST one month!
He says he’s gonna join these message boards and start posting away. I also told him to keep a dream journal, cuz it’s REALLY important if he wants to keep having lucid dreams.

Well, like I always say: Share what lucid dreaming is with your friends and people close to you, because not all of them will think it is NEW AGE or STUPID or SPACEY or whatever. Only some of them will think that. There are always people like David who, if you tell them about it, want to learn more.

Because of this constant spreading of truth, lucid dreaming every day becomes more and more popular. The more popular it is, the more accepted it will be by the American culture.

I can’t tell you how many posts are on these message boards dealing with experiences where people made a lucid dreamer, just trying to help someone, feel dumb.

Keep sharing!

Congrats on introducing your friend! and man… he’s having better luck than I am. A week’s work and no LD’s yet :content:

Thank you! I can tell by your post count, for one week, that you are also truly motivated for LDing . The higher motivation the higher frequency of lucid dreams you’ll be having! Take care, pal!

Congradulations, atleast you have a friend with an open mind. Each and every one of my friends look at me like I am Darth Vader, when I bring up the topic of Lucid Dreaming. Hopefully this western culture will loosen up.

The more people like us talk about lucid dreaming, the more familiar it will become with our western culture. I’ve had similiar looks.

I’ve told like all my friend’s about lucid dreaming and they all seem intrested… or appear intrested lol They all want to have them, but most of them can’t relate to what i’m on about sigh

…though saying that two of my friends have had lucid dreams

Its nice to hear more people are getting intrested in lucid dreaming Darxide :cool_laugh: … and sometimes i wish everyone is as enthusiastic as me and just attempt LDing like once :sad:sigh

Spread the word of lucid dreaming!

I’m almost afraid to tell my friends about lucid dreaming… they’ll just think I’m a lunatic. I can picture the whole scene now…

There’s nothing wrong with being a lunatic… :boogie:

One of my friends seem to be intrested, but haven’t had any lucid dreams.
I actually spoke about it in school, but most of them didn’t get it. They became confused and thought it sounded wierd.

hey, congrats Darxide  it is good news.
Most people I told about LDs have taken it in an open mind, but only two became very interested ( not counting my brother ) , and only one is a regular LDer. The first time I told him about LDs I talked in such a suggestive way that he had a lucid dream that same night ( and at that ime I still hadn’t had any ) (I actually said : “you will probably have a lucid dream tonight!” ). There is this one other friend whom I told about LDs and managed to pop in in his dreams a few times saying: "you’re dreaming!! " but unfortunately he never believed me (i mean the DC represetning me). So I think it’s the best way to go: to place suggestions in people’s minds so that they will LD and find out for themselves how cool it is
It’s kinda hard for some people to believe that it can happen. I told my cousin about it, and she really wanted to try it, however she had a real hard time understanding how anyone can be conscious in a dream.

I told my friend about LD, she was pretty much interested. She thinks its pretty cool, but has a lack of motivation and an awful DR… Also there’s one friend of mine who is a natural
In our pshychology class we were discussing about dreams in general and ppl seem to have interest.

But yes, I still think twice before talking to someone about LD…
