Good Recall, Odd Dreams

moved from quest forum since it is a question about normal dreams :moogle:

Hi everyone. I have noticed that my dream recall is very good. For instance i just woke up and Wrote down about an index card full of my dream. I also was able to fill up another index card for Friday nights dream, seeing as i forgot to do it. I seem to also remember dreams i had when i was a kid. Another thing thats been weird is that out of all the dreams i here about such as my friends or family mine seem to be the weirdest. Heres some examples:

  1. I was at my highschool, and i performed in a Xmas Play, and i wasent prepared, i just imrpoved through it.
2.Often i am at my dads house and the neighboring areas looks similar to real life, but EVERY TIME i try to look for my friends house the block is missing.
  2. I was at my highschool at night time and i go outside and see police cars pulling up, and some guy tricks me into one and the police drives me and lets me off some random place.
  3. A dream that i couldnt fall asleep.

Those arent even some of the oddest dreams i have. Why are my dreams so weird and in different?

First, Your dreams are yet to be the wierdest on those forums. Unless you have had a staring contest with a six eyed building, you cannot say you have the wierdest of dreams. (Note: I have never dreamt such a dream)

Anyway, The recurring dreams might mean something. Try to interpret them. Also, “why my dreams are wierd” is a question no one can answer to you. It depends on so much, that there is just no way to know. I’d suggest you sit back and enjoy the fun. It won’t last forever, you know.

Thank you very much for you response. Could the reason i frequently dream about being in my town/highschool be that i feel secure here or something.

That’s a viable option. If you have barely no nightmares, than it can be from the same reasons. You have great life and you are not very stressed. Probalby fun to be you.

The first one–the whoops-I-forgot-about-my-big-task-and-now-it’s-too-late dream–is common for everyone. I think LaBerge even asserts in EWLD that it’s common throughout most human cultures. Nothing odd there.

The second one…well, it may have been random the first time, and now you subconsciously expect it not to be there in the dreams, so it’s not. Or, perhaps it really does have a deeper significance.

The third one doesn’t strike me as too strange. Sure, it wouldn’t happen IRL, but it’s pretty run-of-the-mill, as far as dreams go. Random memories combining in novel ways, pretty much.

The fourth one doesn’t seem that odd either, since most people don’t spend too much time in their dreams sleeping. Some people claim to have dreams where they fall asleep and even have dreams within the dreams, but that doesn’t seem common.

Take it from me, those aren’t even close to being odd dreams.
