Hey,
I gotta make this quick since I’m not allowed much time on the comp. anymore.
Whenever I become lucid, I get this tingling feeling that increases until I’m awake in bed seconds after, still tingling. It’s very weird. The other day, I turned lucid and was able to stay lucid for much longer. The whole time, I was tingling, and I looked at my body and could see goosebumps on my skin. What’s up with this?! What causes tingles and are they detrimental? They seem to wake me up.
What technique are you using ? I see in your sig that you have 5 WILD and 0 MILD. But as you say “whenever I become lucid”, does it mean that you loose lucidity while WILD’ing and gain it back later?
It could be because you are thrilled to become lucid, or perhaps a feeling related to your energy/dream body, or a combination. Energetic feelings are quite common when WILD-ing and while LD-ing in general I believe (at least that counts for me).
Well, it’s always in DILD I guess. I’m just going about the dream and suddenly realize I’m dreaming. WILDs don’t produce big dreams for me, just images while I’m full blown concious. I’m having difficulty “jumping” into the dream with WILDs. They happen when I WBTB, fall asleep, start dreaming, realize I’m dreaming, then I wake up but I’m paralyzed and have all the WILD “symptoms”, followed by vivid images, but never a dream (yet.)
I just read somewhere that some LD’ers commonly experience vibrations in DILD’s; and in ND’s too (it helps them to realize they’re dreaming).
It happens to me once. I was in a ND and I heard a strange rhythmic noise in the bathroom (it’s near my bedroom). So I payed more attention to this noise, and it sort of jumps on me, and I found myself in the vibes. Thus I realized then I was dreaming… but couldn’t do a lot, just stayed in my bed surrounded by vibes.
I think there is no explanation nowadays. It could be that you’re more aware to the nerve electric frequency (sort of hypersensitivity, which can also happen with other senses, like hearing)
Well, this happened to me again last night. I tried to tell myself to remain calm and usually I just wake up right away from the goosebumps, but instead I was able to remain lucid for about 10 seconds, the whole time walking around in my dream with mad-goosebumps and tingles. I forgot to stabilize the dream by touching things or rubbing my hands.
