Grounding after FILD

I read that when you get a lucid dream due to FILD that you dont have much control of it. Is there some sort of technique you can do to gain complete control of the dream?

whats FILD. And some techniques you could do are rub your hands together, touch everything to keep you in the dream, shout “INCREASE LUCIDITY”, take lucid pills, drink lucid cola, etc

I haven’t tried FILD so much, but i belive if you concentrate, you will gain controll.
Focus on your surroundings, and try to force yourself to be aware…
and all you need is pracice:P

Well, at first I cannot understand why any techniques would cause you not to have control. Lucidicy is lucidicy, so there is no matter you got it by MILD, WILD, RC, DILD, FILD or anything another. When you are knowing that you’re dreaming, then there’s no bounds, so why lucidicy get by FILD have to be worse. More to say: if you will try to convience yourself that in FILD you’ll dont have control of dream, you really can lose control of it. Just because you will expect so. Nothing more to say.

i tried this technique last night and it worked! i was just thinking this isn’t working when i reached up, held my nose, and i could still breath! anyways, it was only a few seconds, but i was starting to loose control and i forgot to spin around because things were already spinning. i paniced then and yelled something like ludicidy times 1000 but my dreamscape was already going dark after just being in the dream for a few seconds. anyways, do you think i could use the chaining (DEILD) method to get another better lucid dream after this? :meh:

To answer the questions, FILD is a fickle thing, because you move your body until very close to the dream itself, making it a little unstable, with the issue you may feel your real body back again. To prevent this, once you realize you’re in a dream, you take some minutes to adjust yourself fully to the dream, observing more objects, developing your dream senses, getting more “in touch” with your dream body and whatnot. Just stay calm and take it relaxed, and the dream will develop itself into a vivid one
Also, DEILDis sure a viable option for any time you wake up, but since you were in a dream just before, you’d better learn how to keep one stable to fully enjoy it ^^
Good luck to everyone! :content:

what can i do right away though because i no more than got into my dream (it was all white except for some other objects around) and i was loosing my dreamscape and everything was spinning

Such impatience  dreams take some time to form, I said minutes but if you are focused and relaxed enough, it can just be a matter of some dozen seconds. You’ve been doing all that FILD’ing before bed, you can wait another minute for the full dream to form, can’t you? :content:
If you think about it, this process of dream formation happens every night, multiple times, only this time you’re aware of it. So if you just watch it, it does itself like every time  just wait and see.
