As Ive said before meditation has really helped me in LDing, and Im not even trying to, because I took a brake from LDing to focus on meditation. So I had an idea… Its easier, and funner to do group meditation, so what I would like to do is set up a group meditation in the chat room. I will give a link to some sounds of nature, which will make us feel a little more connected in the meditation. So if your entersted this can be a weekly, or daily think. I can do it at 6:30 central time. I know Ive tried the listning party, and we had two, and I forgot about it, but I will see this one through. It will really help you in lucid dreaming, so let me know if you intersted we will meditate for 15 minutes to the sounds of rain, or whatever.
Sounds good Kava!
But… I tried a long meditation last night and my dream recall was so **** bad! I have since a week dream recall problems, so I thought - Let’s try some good meditation and my dream recall will be back. It was the other way around… I guess you know a lot about meditation so can you tell me if this is normal?
Maybe I did something wrong I dunno - if I can find a reason to use meditation for great (lucid) dream (recall) instead of what I had last night - I’m sure interested in your idea.
That sounds like a great idea. I’m not too sure on what time would work for me, though I assume if we did this on the weekend I would be able to make some time for it.
Im a beginner myself, Ive only been at it for about a month, and a half. I do it twice a day for 20 minutes. My dream recall is pretty good. The longer you practice meditation the better. I just focus on my breathing, and how I know im doing it right is, because over time I just simply started enjoying meditation. I think the group meditation will help. Will start next some time next week. Ill go ahead, and make it daily instead of weekly. So just keep at it. Do it atleast once, or twice a day for 15 minutes, and if you want you can make them longer. Its all about practice. Dont worrie about doing it right, or wrong. Its simple, and easy. Just focus on whatever meditation target, and if your mind wonders dont get mad. Just bring back. If you are aware of your mind wondering then you are still meditating, because meditation is all about awarness.
Alot of times Ill change my focus to sounds Im hearing, or sensations Im feeling. So its not difficult I did alot of research I started, and did alot of fine tuning, and expiramenting with ways to meditate untill I found what worked for me. It allso helps to keep a meditation journal. You just write down your expirance, and how it went, and what works, and what dosnt work, and any thoughts you find entersting. It will really help excelerate your expirance in meditation
It is funny, because when I thought about keeping a journal I thought… “How much could I possibly write about sitting down, and focusing” To my surprise I had to make myself stop writing, and the pages feel up easy. So try that, and I hope it helps.
Man do you have that right. I did a meditation while I was on the verge of sleep, listening to the song “Winds Over the World,” and I ended up writing four pages about everything that happened. (Speaking of which I still need to get that typed up. >.> Curse my laziness.)
Instead of having a group chat in the LD4all chat room, which can get rather hectic, how about you use a separate chat for the group meditation? You could use something like Tinychat to easily create a room specifically for the purpose of the group meditation.
Thats a great idea about using tinychat. Thats what will do, because there wont be alot of talking. Here is about a ten minute sounds of rain, and crickets that we can meditate with, or even to. It would make a good focus target. I didnt want to use music, because it can be distracting(atleast for me). So we could probley just have this for background something calming as we meditate. It allso helps to burn some incence, and dim the lights. The audio last about ten minutes, and thats probley a long enough meditation, but before you start the audio I would suggest you take three deep slow breaths, and just scan your body, and relax your muscles. Then you can start the meditation.

So we can start Monday at 6:30 central time. If this dosnt work for most people let me know what time would be better.
