Ok I have been Lucid dreaming like never before this month and I have a question about somthing. When I figure out I am dreaming, I feel like an outside force pushing up against a screen or a wall untill I break though and take over my dream body. its hard to explain…
I relieze I am dreaming, then I have to really focus or strain my brain in order to take control. I had two of these last night, then a few last week. Is this normal? What causes it?
That’s weird. I do not think I have had that happen to me before.
Have you tried things like: lucidity x1000, or simply stepping into your dream (believe you can when you do this) or any methods to increase stability and vividness of the dream?
Perhaps if you tried spinning. Then tell yourself that you will be ______ when you stop. This will hep you stabilize the dream as well. You should then find yourself inside your dream at the destination you picked.
I kid of have the same problem. The dream will be going just fine, until I realize hat I am dreaming and then, BAM the dream world starts to get real shaky. The dream begins to fade in a way.
I solve this problem by touching the first thing i can to bring me farther into the dream world. Even if it means dropping to te floor and feeling the ground.
Soon enough the dream starts to stabilize and remains that way.
Hmmm well seeing that it is a new thing to you there is one thing that you gotta remember, new things can feel strange and i mean really strange and i know that that sounds odd and stupid but its the plain truth. Ok for example when you first got behind a car wheel and took it on the road or road your bike for the first time you sorta feel like you are slightly outside your body until you really focus. it could be like that.
Many years ago when i first started to LD i had the same thing as well, i felt as if there where two ppl inside the dream, my dream self and my conscious self that wanted to become lucid, and as i became lucid i felt this conscious self take over the dream body and the entire dream. This used to scare the hell out of me as well as it was a new thing and i used to wake up from the experince of it, but after a while and after a little bit more practice you will, imo at least, find that you wont have to focus as much to get controll over your dream self that there wont be this big push from outside, it will be a natural thing for you to do , it will be a smooth slide into your dream body and enviroment. Rememeber tho, the more that you can recall that feeling of taking controll the more that you can focus on that feeling while you are doing it, it will help you a lot later on, it will make you more aware of it and a lot more able as well until you never know, in the next month or so you are doing it ALL the time
Good luck i hope that at least answered some of your question
i think i might know what you mean. This also happens to me after vibrations… its like a teech clenching force that is not quite plesent, but doesnt hurt. Just unconfortable…
