hard to grasp

its been now 9 times that i have tried and failed with the WILD method and i can say it can be frustrating but i want to have my first lucid dream with the WILD method.

I finaly understood what hypnagogic imagery is and i can follow the images as they start to get more and more real and interactive, its just that i cant seem to be able to handle the sleep paralysis. On my 3rd and 6th tries i briefly experienced sleep paralysis but lost it do to excitement. Actualy im not sure if its actually sleep paralysis or just placebo, but the first thing i noticed was amediate pitchblack darkness (darker than the darkness of my closed eyes) and a sudden falling sensation then followed by tingles that slowly turned to vibrations moving its way up from my legs. From what i read my experience matches what sleep paralysis feels like, but the main problem is everytime the sleep paralysis starts i retain back my full consciousness do to excitement (the falling sensation is just like a roller coaster and makes my heart race with excitement) Does any body have any suggestions that can help me with the sleep paralysis?

ps:also about how long does it take on average to experience a lucid dream with the WILD method?

Clear your mind. Let go a little. This will help the sleep paralysis to take hold of you and carry you deeper. Letting go can be put as ummm, basicly clearing your mind like you do when you fall asleep normally. Just let go of everything, but try retain a thread of awareness so that you don;t fall asleep and drift off.

.> Sounds difficult or odd, I know. Practice makes perfect.
Just keep at it, you’ll get if for sure.

I’m not so sure what you are feeling is all SP. Some of what you describe sounds like the feelings you get when your mind is starting to enter the dream state. I wouldn’t worry about not feeling SP I don’t think everyone will feel it or at the least how it feels it will vary from person to person.
