I don’t know if it is or if it’s not possible, but I had this LD which was induced by WILD and as I was falling asleep I was lying in a bed in very strange position and I was pretty sure that I will feel pain after some time.
And I did by I wasn’t in a dream yet, I was very close. So I ended up in a dream lucid and I was doing things and after some time I started to feel pain in right shoulder. That pain almost woke me up a few times and I almost lost lucidity a few time. One of DC was my friend in WL and I was telling him about this pain I’m having and I wanted to show him where I feel pain. As I pointed with my finger toward his right shoulder there were like little burst of energy coming from my finger and at that moment I didn’t feel pain any more, but DC said that I’m hurting him and then I stopped.
When I woke up I did feel pain but much less pain then during the dream or better say before “transferring” the pain to a DC.
So I’m not sure what exactly happened in that dream but who knows, maybe it was some form of self healing…
I wouldn’t agree with that. LD’s are completely explainable in biological terms, they are created by our brains (a physical body). So there’s no need to involve anything more complicated than that (universe, cosmos, etc.)
Since I see that two sides - science and philosophical beliefs are clashing together here, there’s hardly any point to argue.
Dear Paulius,
You yourself are agreeing that LD occurs due to act of mind. Pls note, ‘Brain’ and ‘Mind’ are two different things. Brain is a physical structure and a device for receiving/sending thoughts/signals emanating from mind. Mind is the most powerful thing. without mind brain is of no use. LD is all concerned with mind. Mind via brain controls all the parts of the body. For ex: When we touch a hot stove by accident, mind sends signals to body parts to immediately withdraw hands from the stove. This is called reflex action. So mind and body are interconnected. As our friend said, he felt relieved after transferring his pain to his DC, in that case, the mind perceived the signal to reduce pain and accoridingly directed that part of mind dealing with pain to reduce it…
Its not philosophical but a proven fact by scientists that mind has the power to cure even deadly diseases. Mind can very well assist in the healing process. But what is missing is the key to stimulate mind for healing process. The Key lies in lucid dreaming…
Mind, awareness or consciousness - all these things are created by our brain, not the other way. Our brain is the physical body, which creates all the feelings, thoughts and illusions. Thoughs, consciousness and awareness are all created by nervical impulses, travelling across our brain. What you now think, what you now feel, all your mind is electrical impulses.
Your theory, that mind (an abstract noun) controls the brain (a physical noun) is more of a religious/philosophical statement. It’s the other way around, when talking in biological terms, since everything in our universe is made from material & energy particles/waves. There is no such thing as mind (when referring to it as something inmaterial) or astral planes, gods etc., at least from the scientific side.
