has anyone known what was going to happen before it did?

its kind of hard to explain but here goes

i was having a dream (non lucid) that i was doing a race, the other guy was always winning so i figured i would follow him and see his secret. a few seconds before the secret turn i knew that it was there and that he was going to go there, but i felt that i couldn’t turn yet because techniquely i didn’t know he was going there yet so it would sort of be cheating. when he started turning i was like oh thats where he goes as if i was pretending that i didn’t know he was going there.

the next night i was like half lucid and this happened

i realized i was asleep and tried to make a fireball in my hand. i saw a few seconds into the future and saw that i failed so i didn’t really put everything into trying to make the fireball.

has anyone else had it that they knew what was going to happen and how did the dream you react? it seems like i try to hide the fact that i know from myself which really doesn’t work considering i’m hiding something from myself.

Thats very interesting indeed, It has happened to me sometimes, I’m very sure of that. I don’t know how to explain it though, all I know is that it feels extremely weird yet you feel a little safe at the same time.

What I don’t understand is how that weird phenomenom does not trigger lucidity sometimes

The reason it happens is because you expect it to. The dreams will follow your thoughts, it happens all the time, lucid and non-lucid.

Not much else to say on the matter, but perhaps you can find a way to trigger lucidity from this.

It is probably the most irritating thing that happens in my dreams, because I wake up (I have excellent dream recall, which only makes it worse) and realise how silly it all sounds. It’s not exactly what you say, it’s more like I see something happen, and say (out loud in the Dream?) “That’s wrong, do it again, but do it like this”, and the dream resets to a point and the things happen again. Almost as if I were dreaming of directing a play, in which I am also the actor…

Still, as Laughing Crow said, there must be a way to make it trigger lucidity…

Precognitive dreams have occurred to me from time to time  I recently had a bunch of precog dreams
