Haunting dream

When I had just moved to texas when I was about 4 or 5, there was this one dream that I had for a week straight, that I still remember vividly. I was in a distorted version of the mall in my town, “GrapeVine Mills Mall”, and My older brother took me to go get a drink of water from the water fountain. As soon as I took the drink I looked up and the whole mall was empty. No one was there but me, my family dissapeared, my brother who was right next to me was gone in an instant. I walked forward into what looked like a gift shop you would find at a gas station or at musams, and I stood right in front of all the childhood monsters. Dracula, Frankinstien, A mummy, ect. They laughed at me and told me that my family was gone, they had killed them. I just remember crying for about 30 minutes straight and I could see the tears coming out of my eyes. I then turned to my left and looked out a glass windowed wall and saw my whole family in the car outside. And all my parents said was, “Come on, we’ve been waiting for you.”

I had this dream for 3 or 4 days straight in 1 week. I dont understand it much. Can anyone explain?

for me … it just sounds like you had a fear of losing your family
when young a lot of children wonder what would happen if their parents suddenly died etc…

A lot of kids get lost in malls and have that fear of losing their parents in them.

It probably also has to do with a big change in your life. I always get recurring dreams after a big change. Moving can trigger feelings of leaving things behind, fear and losing a part of yourself.

That is all the dream is about most likely. Don’t dwell on it, it is after-all, only a dream…

Very smart, I had this dream the week RIGHT after I had moved to my house in Texas, hah, good job :woo:
