Have you ever had a spontaneous LD?

Early this morning after WBTB I had a LD without attempting to induce one. It was more vivid than any other I have had. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

“Have I ever NOT had a spontaneous LD?”

sometimes as a child, a couple at 16, 2 in the last years… too bad i only got one inducing it

I have spontaneous ones all the time. More often than when I try to induce them. You see I got lazy and don’t really try that much anymore, but they keep coming, though less frequently.

I’ve once or twice woken up in the night. Gone to bathroom, came back. Fallen asleep, Dream starts, it only takes the slightest thing wrong and I realise I’m dreaming. I clas that as spontaneous

yup, once i came out of a door and thought “hey, this is a dream” and got lucid(feabb XD), and once i was running through an alleyway and suddenly thought “Hey i’m dreaming” and i felt some sort of shockwave as i got lucid

another time, my RC failed and i was so sure it was a dream i did another one

actually, every other LD i’ve had through RC’s weren’t specifically induced as an LD so could be considered spontaneous

Same here

Pretty much all my lds are spontaneous… Well I can’t say really, before I sleep I always think about having an LD so that kind of aids to the reason I have an LD

Aren’t these spontaneous LDs called DILD?

Of course - that’s how I ended up getting sucked into this whole lucid dreaming fun anyway! XD

@kt4all yea, i think they are, or maybe RCILD(at least, thats partially spontaneous because even though you do RCs IWL, its not sure youll do them in your dreams, at least, thats my way of reasoning XD)

I would say that DILDs include both spontaneous LD’s and RCILD’s.

It’s been a long while since I’ve had an LD other than spontaneously, most of the time now I suddenly realise I’m dreaming, or I just know I’m dreaming and can’t remember how I found out.

so you don’t make a conscious effort to induce them through, lets say, WILD or MILD?

Happens to me most of the time :content:
I just got to sleep derectly after a WBTB and have a LD. You know, when you’re looking for something all day but just cant find it, just leave it and soon it’ll just show up, without you even trying. Same with lucid dreaming at times
