Hello! Newbie here!
I wanted to know if you guys have heard about some specific essential oils that could help to remember dreams, and especially, if you have some information about Fragonia. Has anyone here tried it? (I’m planning to try it soon myself btw, because I’m my favorite guinea pig )
I don’t know what to think about it, but some people say that it helps to have and remember vivid dreams, and so that it would be easier to get lucid dreams with it.
What’s your insight on this?
I first heard of it on a French website, here and then made some research on the web. There’s not so much information about it, but I read a few reviews here and there saying that it was effective.
I haven’t heard of this oil, and haven’t seen it in any shop. From what i can find out, it comes from a species of tea tree, a family known for aromatic shrubs. However, it isn’t an actual flower name. It is a trademark, created by the company which markets the oil. Personally i’m not too fond of the smell of tea tree, it is a little too harsh and not anything i would associate with sleep.
The sense of smell is said to be the sense that is most closely connected to the subconscious, so i can imagine that stimulating smell could help with remembering things. Who hasn’t suddenly remembered something from their childhood by smelling it?
If it was possible to somehow release the smell during sleep, and then again while trying to remember dreams, it might boost recall. In fact, that is something i have been thinking of a few times, but never tried yet. If one kind of smell would be more effective than the other is hard to say.
In fact, I don’t think it’s the smell in itself that is effective in aromatherapy, but the chemical composition of the essential oil.
So, I wasn’t thinking about the effect of the smell on dreams when I wrote this topic, to be honest , but more about the effect of its chemical composition on the brain.
