Having trouble with lucid dreams

Here is my problem: I know i am dreaming but i feel a lot of stress because i know i am going to wake up and i have a time limit so everything in my dream goes berserk. I have a lot of stress trying to do fun things in my dreams or i don’t know what i would like to do in the dream.

For starters here is what i would like my dreams to be: I want my dreams to be like a continuous adventure with episodes. I think i would like it this way because then i could look forward to each episode of dreams each night. And hopefully i can become lucid during these.

What my lucid and normal dreams are like: My lucid dreams are very hard to get control over and when i do have complete control over everything I usually wake up. My normal dreams have been continuous, I have been dreaming about wars, and nuclear bombs, and people running away, and I’m all alone…Anyways if anybody could give me any tips or starters that would be great :help:

I used to have a problem like this before… still have sometimes.

I think one thing you might want to do is try to stay calm. I mean, tell yourself gefore going to bed that you will focus on being calm in your LD.

Try to “forget” all the fun things you want to do for a minute and make “staying calm” your task. I usually rub my hands and focus on the feeling. Breathing and focussing your sight on something like the floor might help. Then when you feel things are kinda stable you can slowly try to do something you want…

This hasn’t exactly worked that well with me, but… :shy:

And I read somewhere that focussing on “staying in the dream” might be better than focussing on “not waking up”.
