Healing a friend ?

I don’t know if this is true, but I don’t know why they would lie to me… I don’t know them that well though, but I’ve lost contact with a friend/acquaintence and I asked his brother what was going on… he said he overdosed on shrooms and is in a mental institute for the next six weeks, and is worried that he may never recover.

Do you think there is anything I could do, like, try to find him and help him “reconnect” to the real world, to sanity?

I don’t know, it has me worried and I want to try to do SOMETHING but I don’t necessarily believe in all this “astral healing” stuff, and I don’t want to make things worse.

Just being in his dreams, if possible, could that just help him, to have osmeone to talk to to try and help him recover?

If you dont believe in that, you could go visit him in the institute and help him that way, if possible

Yeah If you dont believe in mental/astral healing I dont think you can help him this way. Go and talk to him instead.

By the way, I am just courious, is it possible to overdose with mushrooms?
Is that schisophrenia he has now? (Thats the only think that can be caused by psychedelics as far as I know…but I might be wrong).

well he’s in another state, supposedly, I don’t have much chance of being able to visit him, and it sounds like he is very bad.

can you overdose on psilocybin? I don’t think so, but mushrooms themselves, I believe, contain other toxins, and its possible he got the wrong kind… and yeah I guess they cause schizophrenia…

Wheter you believe it or not its your will to help the friend that counts here.
I dont know how such healing could be done but i would try to think about him before sleep, visualizing how i visit him in hospital, how i talk to him,how i use “magic powers” to heal him…so on, so on.
There are powers of our minds that we`re not aware of and one can never say for sure wheter it would work or not.
But in my opinion it has a chances to help, depends on your will. And dont think it does not help only because you might never know if it really did.Taking the chances is sometimes everything we can do.
take care

thanks… i’m not christian but today is “Jesus week” (and very comical) and you know, i just found out about this today, and i was walking to my appointment i went by a prayer booth where you fill out cards for people to get prayed for.

i debated telling them about him… but then i got to thinking, would he want christians praying for him?

I wouldn’t really mind if people kept me in their best wishes, even if that meant they said blah blah Jesus blah blah save him blah blah heaven… the thought is what counts…

but i don’t know if he would want to be involved in christian rituals.

i believe (somewhat) in the power of prayer, and that humans have the capacity to heal… so… i don’t know… i can still do it today or anytime this week more than likely.

any non-christian perspective on whether this would be a good idea to tell them to pray for him or not?

Show me a really sick person not wanting help. From christian, muslim, doctor, shaman,me or you.Matters not in my opinion. And by the way- helping is helpng, person who does it does not have to wonder eternally about such things but do what he/she can do and thats it.

exactly. It doesnt matter who you believe to or who is your “God” or whatever. Its pretty much all about suggestions and positive thinking.

well today some people approached me and I could tell right away they wanted to give me some Jesus spiel… but they were actually going around seeing if anyone wanted any prayers (obviously associated with that prayer booth) so i was like, well, why not…

so i told them about him… maybe it’ll help.
