Aight so last night i tried to WILD right off the bat, no waking up etectra.
After about 20 minutes my body was getting SP but just as the feeling of something heavy being laid on top of me started to come my heart went insane, it was pounding my chest so hard and made my entire body move. i tried to ignore it but it was hard.
Then all of a sudden it felt like somone grabbed me and just pulled me through the wall, i wasnt ready for it so i flipped out and awoke. i tried som RC’s but i was awake.
Im gonna try tonight aswell and set my alarm at 4 AM
Any Tips?
You really shouldn’t WILD at night, when going to sleep, since the first REM phase comes only after 90-120 minutes of NREM sleep. So in the best case scenario, you will have to torture yourself with 1.5 hour of a tedious WILD proccess. Better do it after 4-6 hours of sleep, since it is the time when you are in the REM sleep cycle. Not only will you get into the REM sleep faster, but the dreams will also be much longer and more vivid.
Another time when you can do WILD is during afternoon naps, provided that you fall asleep during the day easily.
And don’t worry about your hard beating - it’s a sign that you’re wery excited or scared. This happens often the first times you WILD, since those hallucinations and SP is an unknown feeling for most people. We all tend to be scared/excited at new, unexperienced stuff.
From what I’ve read multiple times is that the extreme hart beating is actually an illusion like the rest of the HI and feelings you were experiencing. Best thing is just relax and ignore as much as possible.
If you are trying to WILD you wont be moving and this is natural because you body muscles will lose all of their natural tension and begin falling asleep and what you experienced was probably just your body falling asleep and entering sleep paralysis this is natural and scares most people away from WILD’s but it does no real damage so it is natural.
and it will just be a pain to try WILD right as you go to sleep because the first small rem cycle is only about 5-10 minutes long so it is just kind of a waste… my help would be to set a alarm about 4-5 hours after sleep so there are longer rem cycles and easier to enter LD’s
