Excited to join the group.
Last night I tried LD and found a strange thing.
I went to sleep around 11:00 pm and had a series of short dreams (dont think they were lucid) …but was expecting the time to be around 1:00 am but to my suprise it was 5:00 am. Does the biological clock shift when we try to lucid dream?
Time has never shifted for me when i try to LD, but realize this, when you dream you still have about a 30 min break in between every dream so time can add up when not expecting it but no, attempting LD does not stretch time in any way possibly just trying too hard about it is causing a problem? I would not concern myself with this though it may pass or become better and more natural over time
Not necessarily, I’ve been aware of RL time in a lucid dream before. I knew if I would be sleeping too long in the dream, so I eventually let myself wake up, with the timing I thought I had too. Also, you’re not going to have many dreams when you first go to sleep in that two hours. You do dream, you’re just probably not going to have that many in your first two hours of sleep. Maybe in your first 4 1/2 hours, since I’ve been lucid in that time before.
Perceived time in a dream can be extended (I guess shortened too, don’t know why you would want to do that though). You can spend a few hours in dream when really it’s been 15-20 minutes or so IRL.
