Help me define the waking dreamworld please?

Warmest greetings to all who read this! :content:

I was just emailing back and forth with my friend and work and I mentioned that I am trying to hone my lucidity both day and night. And then she asked me what I meant by the “waking dreamworld,” and I just went blank. Well, not really blank so much as I’m exhausted and a bunch of new physics snippets and Tibetan Buddhist beliefs swirled around in my soggy mind and I could not put a coherent explanation together for the life of me.

How do you explain this to someone who is extremely emotionally tied to every worldly thing that happens? Someone who cannot separate from that. :help:

mind creates reality

a man is freeform rapping in a very enthusiastic way

i am alone outside in the snow with him

he is a murderer
he is full of love
he is a thug
he wants to rob me
he is tripping on drugs
he is drunk
he is just a normal dude
he has anger problems
he’s never harmed a soul in his life

my mind decides which one it wants, and whatever it picks is true, and then if he suddenly comes up and talks to me, whichever choice i make flavors our interaction.

but really only one thing is true

and

since we don’t know what it is

we know that the truth simply is that life is a dream, because all of our interpretations and explanations of “reality” are completely arbitrary and generally wrong and delusional.

i don’t know what this guy was doing but, i was a little uneasy, but i knew he was just a guy with a different way of acting, and that he was having a good time

and nothing came of it

and he never approached me

but a black person dressed like a thug yelled freeform rap and dancing and seeming like he is intoxicated might make some people feel tremendous fear, terror, and anxiety.

now what if they saw him in a dark alley? well i’d understand the fear too.

but it’s still all up to interpretation and

Ram Dass said

if you really think someone is God, they don’t lock you up.

The same is probably true that if you really love everyone and know they are just your reflection, they probably won’t mug you.

consequently realizing that all your interpretations and reactions to life are completely arbitrary erodes stress and encourages more joy to happen, because then you know that if something makes you “mad”… who is the one getting mad, why not, if your tires are flat, laugh and think “ah oh well, i will just get them fixed, no big deal”

because

we choose our responses to everything, and each choice paints reality that flavor

when you are 5 and your tires are flat as long as you know you will be okay you aren’t too upset

but then someone teaches you to be angry

so then when you are 10 and the tires are flat again you are a little angry

then when you are 15 you are really angry

then when you are 20 you have a rage problem

but everything starts with a choice

to take a choice to label life “dream” is to take a choice toward emotional freedom… and to take responsibility for your actions, and to have the best life you can.

And if you don’t have time to sing her a 5 minute rap, try 'Being in the dreamworld while being conciouss of this.".

And the fact that we can’t directly know reality but have to rely on senses does not render these senses invalid.
Most importantly, for us humans the direct reality is’nt important, most of what is relevant to us gets conveyed by the senses quite effectively.

Thanks guys! I will be taking parts of both interpretations, and I think I can present a comprehensive little diddy. holy reality, thanks for painting pictures for me, that’s the best way for my mind to comprehend concepts.
