Does anyone know how to keep yourself from swallowing when laying on your back i’ve tried putting a pillow under your chin thing but in never works anyone know how to tackle thus reflex cause its stopping me from Ld if i always have to swallow.

From what I’ve read … it would be more effective to ignore this reflex swallowing than to focus on not swallowing. Doing WILD you are supposed to relax.
Hopefully a member who uses WILD will be along shortly.
Have you tried using a pillow or a some bed setting that makes your head (yet more) higher than the rest of your body?
Also, if you focus more on the nature of WILD, breathing and swallowing shouldn’t cause it problems, you can even do it periodically increasing your focus and control while WILDing.
C-WILD example:
Use deep breaths and count them. Every time you reach 100 or 60 (depending on how often it’s needed) you could forcefully swallow. After you swallow you could focus on your senses, pay attention to HIs and others.
Some claim that you shouldn’t move a bit and not swallow, however, that is not true for everyone. You can use it for your own advantage to increase your awareness while drifting into a dream.
Everything that moogle and Tggtt said it’s true. What I like to point out is that WILD is nothing more then KNOWING how to FALL ASLEEP!
So when you are falling asleep unintentionally or intentionally the first thing you do is getting comfortable and getting in the position which you like for falling asleep.
That’s exactly what you should do when doing WILD and yes you might ask yourself: “Won’t I just fall asleep how I usually do?!” And my answer is yes you will, at the beginning but when you learn how to fall asleep you will appreciate this comfortable position in which you will find yourself. And with time you will learn how to gradually fall asleep and not loos awareness…
