I agree with svavarg. In such a case, Pr Laberge advices to use the last dream you remember.

i think he just wonders why u use an AC at all. Cuz some guys advise you not to use an AC since it disrupts your sleep, others say its good when u wake up during REM or just b4 it takes place. Unfortunately thats ofc not always the case
I for myself dont use an AC as i want to wake up naturally (trying to ‘convince’ my mind to wake up just b4 another REM cycle takes place in the morking)
Now I actually set it 5 minutes past the time I intend to wake up, just in case my auto suggestion doesn’t awaken me, but of the time it does.
me too, i set it to 10 minutes after my autosuggestion and i’m still amazed the autosuggestion’s so effective:o
I think practicing auto suggestion correlates with having lucid dreams more frequently.
